Thanks trippysmurf, i have reason to believe DC is fucking with me so its very possible he purposely gave me bad advice. Water in a spray bottle seems to be the way to go.

I don't think DC was fucking with you in that instance. It would be silly to give bad advice on purpose in a forum like this. Because it'll be refuted in 60 seconds anyway.

This may be a stupid question but obviously those weren't 100% colonized but how long were they colonizing for after you inc'ed them?
I ask as SWIM has one or two cakes that may have an issue much like you had. Not contam (or at least I don't think so) like you had to deal with but just growth that has slowed due to what I think is iffy spores...or just something he messed up
SWIMs are just over two weeks and about 50%....

Man, really if you can WAIT be patient. These cakes were 100% colonized once i birthed them, only not 100% colonized with myc there was some other bad shit. I just cut out the bad shit. I assume this same principal could be applied to not fully colonized cakes if u get rid of everything that isnt colonized but man i really would just be patient. It took about a month to fully colonize. If you absolutely have to though you could prolly just cut out the bad stuff.

He has the intention to wait...just trying to plan in case something comes up! Thanks for the advice though!

Day 13
So I have very thin stems and white fuzzy myc growth on the base of the stems. According to my research this is due to excess co2 in my "chamber", also the thin stems could be due to not misting at all. I have combated both of those issues by opening the bag i used for humidity and beginning to mist them. Quite unreal how fast they grow though.
