Polyfill or no?
    #14291446 - 04/14/11 05:18 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I have 2 monos that should be ready to fruit sometime next week.  All the teks I've read say to fill the holes with polyfill, but recently a few of the elders here said they leave the holes empty or only put poly in them part of the time.

So my question is... if you don't stuff your holes with poly or only have it in part of the time, why?

Depends on the size of your holes and your Rh level of your area..  I have done some tubs without polyfill but they dry out faster then normal, so you have to be ready for that and have to keep your eye on them so that they don't dry out because then your results will be crap.

You should be ok then without polyfill but you still probably should mist it a few times a day..

My area stays about 54-56%
