Im worried these pins will not grow to their full size as some of the veils are broken already though some are not. this is my second grow. on my first grow my first flush looked similar to this all i got was mini-mushies my second flush of that grow i went out of town and i had huge growth compared to flush 1. please let me know what you guys think! Something doesn't look right.
The caps are all distorted. Many look already opened. Those pins probably are going to stay that size as aborts and not continue growth.
in the third picture from the top I see a legit pin.

Temps and RH seems fine... what is your fruiting chamber like? Are you giving them enough Fresh Air Exchange?
If it's Multispore it could just simply be genetics.
Did you dunk before the roll?
We need more info to help figure out what the problem is.

i made your standard SGFC 4.5in perlite, i fan 6x a day, mist 4x, spores are golden teacher and are from MRCA. i had dunked and rolled after i birthed them for 24hrs. they were in the FC for ~a week and then i went out of town for 3 days. the cakes were dry so i dunked them again (there were no pins) for 24hrs and that was 3 days ago since then all the pins you see have grown.

What do this and your first grow have in common? Also what climate are you in? Is it dry where you are or humid?
And does anyone else see tints of green?

Did you drill holes in all 6 sides of your FC ?? Also small fruits can be from dehydration.. Did you dunk them before you put them into fruiting ??

could it be the fact that my FC is on a shelf in the corner of a closet ? not enough normal FAE (only fanning) ?
also im confused as to what a good misting job really is do you spray the shit out of the FC or just a few squirts?

wow those are tiny. They look awesome though
So small, i thought they were oysters. Definetly cubes though?
Im thinking genetics. No reason why they should be maturing so small like that
then again, maybe their mutants

genetics would be highly unlikely since i ordered spores from the same source as my last grow and the same thing happened but only on the first flush my second flush was normal.

id pick them all dunk for 12-24 hours and try to fruit again. could be a number of factors. there could even be a contam hiding inside your cake. could be genetics. could be temperature or Rh issue.

dont mist directly, or too much. I mist maybe twice a day, sometimes not at all (99% rh from the perlite is plenty moist)
When you do mist, just pump it lightly, and aim above the FC so that the water falls naturally on the cake. once you see pins, its really not necessary to mist
that could be your problem, but i dont know.
just read that your misting each cake individually. This sound less like misting, and more like your spraying the cakes. This is not necessary. Dunking should provide adequate hydration to make it though a flush without any misting whatsoever.

I mentioned the spore issue to help figure out if its genetics but like you said, it was only your first flush...
The misting issue does lead me to a question though...if you shouldn't mist directly how do those 2L bottle terr. work? Or really, how could you mist one of those?

You mist but fan to make sure there is no standing water. When it starts to fruit and the pins are maturing more, then you want to avoid direct misting or fan really well so it doesn't stand or it could rot/get contaminated.
Correct me someone if I am wrong.

Do the cakes feel light or slightly heavy that blueing could be caused from dehydrated cakes and if there is not enough internal moisture in the cake they will abort or just be tiny fruits.have you noticed larger pins on the bottom of the cake where they sit on the tinfoil?

yes holes on all sides per the tek. not larger pins on the bottom just more of them if you look at the pics you will see huge clusters of pins around the bottom edge. i do have some pins that look promising (have not opened)

Kevin is exactly right. If you do have to mist, you should mist the sides of your chamber. Too much humidity will definately abort your pins. I have had this problem before. With a SGFC less is really more. Just leave them alone besides fanning a few times a day and you should see some nicer fruits.

i think everyone is just guessing in this thread. so ill have a stab at it.
just looks either dry or mutants.
try misting more rather than more often (assuming your FAE is up to par)
id give it a dunk if its not as heavy as it was after the first dunk you gave it.

Genetics, IMO. Second flush was normal compared to first, sounds like MS genetics.

Multi-spore is a grab bag of genetics with all kinds of possibilities as far as performance goes. There are thousands of spores and therefore thousands of genetic possibilities. A fully-colonized jar or substrate isn't a single strain. Even a single fruit can contain many different substrains. The opposite of multi-spore would be clones and isolates.
