I spent years getting drunk and destroying people on GOW 1. It's the 2nd best game ever made (after Ocarina of time.)
Gears of War fuckin shreds man. It has the sickest graphics to. I can't figure out why game creators can't make solid games like gears. Do they use a really expensive engine to make it (or whatever they use, I don't know anything about game designing) The graphics and movement are just dope as fuck. I'll stand by Gears 1 till the day I die. Maybe I should get a COG tag tattoo...
wtf are you talking about? gears 2 was sick. The single players was SO fun! Who gives a fuck about multiplayer? I was way more into Halo 3 anyway...and let's be real, Halo 3 > COD > Battlefield> GOW in terms of online multiplayer.
Im excited for gears 3, I LOVE the solo campaign
Well first off. I care about multiplayer because I'm not ten years old anymore and campaigns are fuckin boring. When you have Live there is no point in playing the campaign. Fighting A.I (or whatever the term is) video game designed players is fuckin boring and lame. No challenge. Then you do "insane" mode or whatever it is and all that does is make the enemies bullets stronger (gay). Anyone with a brain can figure out that if you can play live, why would you waste time fighting drones ???
Maybe it's because im not a gamer so I don't waste time with it unless it's INTERACTIVE with other REAL people on the other side that I happen to be mirkin.
Secondly. Halo ???? ahah. that game is for children. Lame as fuck. Halo one's campaign is alright. The rest blow. You can only make the same game so many times and expect it to be fun ya know ? sticking in a turret gun just doesn't cut it.
The only reason I would even consider playing gears 2 again is for the Horde game. Horde is pretty sweet.
Single player games are strictly for gamers. Straight up.
I changed my mind. Fuck all games that aren't Live.
Oh yeah. And everyone "cool" knows that nowadays games are nothing but live. And any games that aren't live don't do very well and don't sell shit. COD, BATTlefield, Gears, are all games that marketed as a LIVE game. thats not even my opinion. That's where gaming is moving to... in case you haven't noticed.
Campaigns are a one time thing. You saying "who the fuck cares about multiplayer"... well I think A LOT of people do. In fact, everyone I know who plays, plays live. I'm glad you don't. You probably aren't cut out for competitive games.
Stick to fable and lost planet boyo.

Dude, Halo has had the best multiplayer ever since Halo 1. Its the most competitive, without a doubt. GOW is pretty fun too, and now that Halo Reach pretty much sucks, GOW3 is probably going to be my new game to play.

dude wtf are you talking about. I agree that the Halo campaigns were a little weak, but Halo 3 was BY FAR the most SKILLED online shooter out there. I'm sorry but unless you were a 48+ in Halo 3 then you don't know what I'm talking about. There was SO MUCH skill involved in Halo 3, why do you think MLG focused mainly on Halo? Because it was the best online multiplayer FPS to be released to date. End of story.
Also if the ONLY reason you buy a video game is for the online multiplayer then you're missing out. Single player can be really fun if you allow yourself to be sucked into the story. I love playing single player, who cares if the AI isn't super smart? They pose enough of a challenge to make the game interesting the whole way through, and I play single player for the story. Sorry you think you're too cool to play single player
Campaigns are NOT a 1 time thing. I can name plenty of games that I have beat 2, 3, even 4 times. "and everyone "cool" knows that nowadays games are nothing but live". Dude get a fuckin grip, not everyone plays video games JUST for the online. I agree it is a big factor in many games, but SOME games are incredible and fun that don't have ANY online multiplayer.
Also by you saying that Halo 3 was lame as fuck just proves to me that you are incredibly unskilled. I'm sorry but COD requires VERY LITTLE skill compared to Halo 3. In COD all you have to do is see the other person before they see you and they're dead. In halo I could be 1 shot and kill a dude with full shield by being more skilled. That doesn't happen in COD.

Anthony knows exactly what I'm talking about. I was a 47 in MLG in H3 and it was by far, the most competitive shooter at the time. H1 and H2 are still much more competitive than H3 though.
Gears of War 1 was extremely competitive as well from what I hear but I never played it much. And COD does take quite abit of skill to play competitively, yet nowhere near the skill it takes in Halo.
There are plenty of fun single player games as well, look at games like Borderlands, Fallout, or Fable. Hell, they are all fun.

thanks man. Seriously, I only got to a 45 in MLG cause I played by myself, and you know how hard it was to rank up in Halo 3.....fuck, if you got a team that didn't have mics you were gonna lose.
Halo 3 was by far the greatest FPS out there, the most skilled by FAR.
I agree COD is a skilled game, and I got pretty good at COD, but nothing compared to halo 3. The competition that I found in Halo 3 was unlike any other game I've ever played.
I think halo 3 was the most rounded halo there was. The pistol in halo 1 was a little ridiculous, and 3 just improved on every aspect where 2 failed. Reach was definitely a step in the wrong direction IMO, but I've played enough online FPS. I'm more into adventure games like Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, or fighters like Tekken or Street fighter now, but I have probably logged in more hours to Halo 3 than any other game, ever, at least 200+ hrs

Halo one's campaign is alright.

I've easily had more fun playing single player games than multiplayer. It's not always about the actual challenge, it's getting stuck into a deep, engrossing story - Bioshock - or fully immersing yourself into another world - Elder Scrolls, Fallout, GTA. You're just missing out on a WHOLE lot if you only play multiplayer games.
I didn't really play Halo a lot, but I think it does take more skill than COD. On COD, I can easily win a match and have the highest score, by literally running around knifing people. Or maybe that just says that I'm fuckin skilled at COD.

Hardly. So games like Fable, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout, Oblivion, Uncharted, Mario, Zelda, etc all 'don't sell shit'?
