Hey Guys how are you...Hope your good.
Well my Question is that i have grown once before and have soaked and misted my Perlite and Terrarium with bottled water. No Problems than.
But this time i have Soaked and misted my perlite and terrarium in Distilled water...i thought the pure water would be better...but after researching a little i have found out that it lacks minerals and nutrients.
But what i have read on here say it's okay and some people say no its not okay...so now im confused and just need more opinions from people.
My alternative is to completely take all the cakes out...REsoak the perlite in spring water...and start misting with spring water?
IS this a good idea or a waste of time?

Who cares at this point. Your cakes are fully colonized and resistant to contams. I've always used tap water without a problem... unless you live in new york. They have crustaceans in their nasty ass water.

I use bottled and distilled, depending on which one I run out of first, to soak my perlite and to mist and I've never had any problems so I dont think you should worry about it.

The water you use in your perlite doesn't matter. The only water the mycelium will get minerals from is what you use to hydrate the cake or bulk substrate.
Unless your tap water is really high in dissolved solids, using bottled water is mostly just a waste of money.

Its fine to mist with distilled h20, as it really wont come in contact with any substrate in any significant way. If you used it to soak the cakes/tubs, its another story. Water is actually a pretty good solvent for a lot of things, and when it is free of all dissolved substances to begin with... it'll soak up whatever it can. So if you soak with distilled water and end up with a bunch of waste water to dispose of later, it will have soaked up some probably significant amount of nutrients which could hurt your yield / potentially destroy some mycelium. Then again, I've never tried so to what degree it would have an effect I do not know.
