A question of morals

Ok. so here's the scenario. A female friend of mine (We'll call her A) and a male friend of mine (call him C). A and C are not dating or anything like that. A works with me and is one of my pretty good friends. C is also a good friend and A and C are friends and know each other through me. A is kinda annoying and definitely needs a reality check and needs to grow up.
The three of us go out last night to a bar. C jokingly grabs some cash out of A's hand. A decent amount too, prob $30-$50. Somehow she gets distracted pretty fast and C ends up keeping the money. Later on, out of character, C is buying some shots and beers for me and him. He then tells me that A is the one actually buying them because he had kept her money. He never told her this, and I know from speaking to her today she's kinda like "WTF, how did I spend all my money, I think I dropped some, blah blah" you know the deal. So anyways, to me, he stole her money and thats fucked up. They are supposed to be good friends and stuff and thats just shady to me. I witnessed him do it, and I even have texts of him telling me that its her money he's spending to back my story up. Should I tell her? What would you do?

Id tell him to give her money back.
If you go to her first she could be pissed that you didnt tell her in advance. And frankly, if he doesnt pay her back, especially since it was a decent amount of cash, he isnt that good of a friend.

Damn man... I think if you are going to do anything at all, you should prob talk to C. But you should know if you do get involved its prob not going to turn out good... There are some things best left alone.

yeah, I really don't care about it not turning out good. I mean at this point in time I'm not really considering him a friend anymore. I don't hang out with thieves. I have too much nice shit that I own and too many things that could easily go missing.

Sounds like A is dumb, and C is a theif.
Great friends you got there!
Fuck yeah I'd tell her. If one of my "friends" did that to me, and another "friend" witnessed it and didn't tell me, they were not friends to begin with.
Deception really chaps my ass.

So, A is blonde, and C is a thief.
Oh and yeah, tell her. I would rather have a dumb friend than a thieving friend.

wow, thats tough... if you tell, you and C are at ends if he don't own up and forgive you for telling. If you don't tell you'll have to live with it. and what if A and C are fuckin you around to see what you'd do?

exactly. I mean now I'm starting to question shit gone missing. I was in CO a few weeks back and A was housesitting and taking care of my dog. I know C was over here hanging out a couple times, as well as another dude (M). I've been blaming M for like $20 missing out of my change jar (all the silver change) and a brand new bottle of adderall missing. But now I'm kinda wondering....

I think you need to ditch C then, not worth having a friend you can't trust... but I would still confront him about stealing A's cash. If he acts like its no big deal then that should be telling you something..

Tell him to pay her back and explain himself to her and if he doesnt then do it your self (minus the paying her back part)

I don't see how anything in this story makes people think A is dumb.
If he had left the out part about her being annoying and needing a reality check (which has nothing to do with this either) I don't even think people would have come to that conclusion.

yeah, there's been a lot of stupid shit over time and this is just the icing on the cake. he also tried to threaten me last night over some bullshit and its not the first time. I'd kick his ass in a fight but thats not the point, I'm 27, I don't need that immature bullshit in my life.

yeah. I'm done with both of them as friends I think. Everytime we hang out its always something, big stuff, like I went to jail last week hanging out with her. and we hang out a lot.

That's fucked up. He stole money right in front of your face, and if A is actually a friend, it's your duty to tell her.
Obviously A and C are not that good of friends if C is straight stealing her cash...
