You're inspirational, dude. I'm glad to see you've cycled back to us. If you don't mind me asking, what were you going to school for?

It's an interdisciplinary master's with a thesis track based on neuropsychology, though the psychedelic component is basically a sociological and paradigmatic analysis of the new research grants, FDA/IRB approval, and media attention.
Personally I've learned more about the education system itself, rather than "higher learning." I'm still convinced it's more a modern institution of the monetary marketplace that makes learning a commodity. It squanders creativity and traditional notions of intelligence/wisdom. Ironically, I guess it took going there and being on the "inside" in order to be frustrated enough that I became hyper-critical, which I tend to be about everything it seems.
Good experience none the less.

I experienced several synchronicities, and also many quasi-psychic events whereby I was able to predict when someone was about to speak and guess the content of their statement or question. I could summon people's attention to me by focusing my attention on them, even if they were looking in the opposite direction.
I too have often experienced this with LSD in particular, no other psychedelic does this for me. In my experience it's more or less knowing exactly what another is thinking or about to say, as I'm sharing that exact moment of consciousness with them. This occurred recently with some buddies and I on a moderate dose. Sort of like each of our consciousnesses would meld into each other at points through out the night, sent shivers down my spine the first few times it happened, even thinking about it now does. A lot was conveyed with very few words spoken. When ever it would occur we would look at each with a simple grin and nod, confirming we were indeed experiencing what we thought we were.
I've actually heard many stories like this from people, and what you described, from LSD in particular. Very interesting stuff

....With that said, in typical NMDA receptor antagonist fashion, it "re-set" my mood and cognitive functioning to a clear, bright, full capacity for several days. It was lovely.
I have experienced this from NMDA receptor antagonist as well, I think it is best described as a "re-set". For days to weeks after I notice a major lift in mood, my mind is more lucid, and I just generally feel more positive. There are currently studies/research going on with NMDA receptor antagonist and depression. For my self nothing else has had a stronger (or quicker acting) anti-depressant effect than NMDA receptor antagonist....
I do recall seeing you around here BTW, always enjoyed your input and posts ....

Actually, the pub is full of 42 covert puppets I surreptitiously co-manage with a group of people who were hand selected by Ythan to ensure the hivemind is composed of a certain disposition. Call it crowd control if you will.
Kidding, but watch the herbage. It does induce paranoia.

I agree. Colleges and Universities have essentially become debt accumulating diploma factories.

I never know whether or not to trust psychedelic induced experiences resembling psychic phenomena.
Telepathy with other people occurs a lot. Maybe that's why I prefer tripping alone? Their deep underlying emotions become to integral with my experience and I cannot look within.
When I take mushrooms, I have entities contact me, giving me information about myself, and our reality. The last experience I had with this, I questioned the legitimacy of the entity, and things got violent.
The desire to work with a seasoned shaman keeps growing every time.
Glad to see you're still around, Arden. I thought you had maybe already gone off to West Africa, and were experiencing the hardships of life in celebration of it all.
