the big cluster?
was that near one of the airholes?
How do you think the experiment when PPH, what are your thoughts?
Looks like the air exchange was nowhere near enough.
Great pics and interesting grow.

Yea, there are 4 big clusters located right in front of all the side holes. The weird thing is thast they still developed that way even though I fruited it will the lid off and all the holes pulled out? I think if you were to just colonize the substrate in the tub and then lift it right out of the tub and put it outside on its side, leaned up against a tree in the shade this issue may be corrected.
I will try this on my next one. I'll update later today., Looks like it is going to yield about the same as 1 bag would on the first flush, which sux kuz a bag has 1/4 the product in it.
Like I said this is purely experimental, as I am going to try and figure out a good way to fruit these things in a mono.....
I know it can be done! ....... I know I am obsessed with monotubs, you guys don't need to remind me,

Awesome!
Oysters are really picky about FAE. Maybe drill MSG style, but with an extra row of holes below substrate level? An option for a classic monotub would be to colonize in a smaller tub like a 6qt shoebox, then use a monotub w/perlite as an FC. But I just don't see oysters thriving in a tub.

me too, but the block removed and on a GH shelf would be nice!
Sure would produce a decent flush.

That is what I was thinking about that but I am rapidly abandoning the idea. I think ......

using the tubs to colonize the substrate blocks, and
Pulling them right up out of the tubs is the best option.
They just like FAE way too much to even try messing around with them in tubz,
But the tub can be a very useful vessel for colonizing them ,.....
Here are some final shots of the mono fruiting. I think I am going to put in outside out of the tub for the second flush, I will update once that time comes......

Provided you keep the bag on five sides of the block it should be fine. Well, assuming there's still a fair bit of humidity in the room.
