Bad syringe in my opinion

Ok guys

Since there is NOTHING going on in here, Can I try innoculating these same jars again with an active needle I have prepared?

Is there a chance this can work?  Please let me know!!

Active needle? What do you mean? The problem is not the needle. Use a new spore syringe if you don't want to waste your time.

No you misunderstood.

I have a completly different spore syringe that I made from a print.  Can I try knocking up these same jars again, as they are? Even though the grain has sat for like 13 days or whatever???

I really need to know

Oh, I am sorry. Yes, you can give it a try if the kernels are not too dry and if the jars are not contaminated. Needless to say, it's much better to start with new jars and new grains. But if you don't mind wasting a few more cc's of spore solution, you can go ahead and try. You have nothing to lose.

well I knocked up these jars for the second time. 13 days later or whatever

Will be a good experiment to see if this is possible.  I dont think any jars will have been contamn, but for the moisture level I have no way of knowing.

ok so after 4 days of knocking up these jars a second time we have first sign of growth, i also did a totally new jar that same day and today it has growth.

so my original needle was definitly bad. Hopefully I wont run risk of contamn.

it's going to be pretty slow growth, try not to watch it day by day.  at a certain point it will get progressively faster

ishacka  since you re-inoculated those jars they might be on the dry side of things which could slow down colonization drastically or make the jars stall.

Sounds like you are making or getting syringes with lots of viable spores in them now, so for your next attempts you'll have less to troubleshoot.

good job and keep up the patience.
