On one hand, I fucking love houndstooth as a pattern. On the other, it kinda hurts to look at these.

On a third hand, nice, dude.

I had just taken a pic of part of my collection and was going to gratuitously out do you in your own thread, and my anti-virus won't let me put my camera software on my new hard drive.

:kingcrankey:

Any way, it was 2 AK's, one with an EOTech & magnifier, a PSL, Tommy gun, Mossberg riot gun, a few WWII rifles, a 1911, 2 .357's, a kevlar vest and a Czech flack vest with ceramic rifle plates. The rest of it wouldn't have fit on camera at close range and if I would have backed it up it still would have been so piled up you would only have seen what was on top.

Actually, I inherited most of my collection of around 30 guns, only paid for about 6-7.

I use to hunt, but its hard when you don't have property, plus I've gotten concerned about the possiblity of prion diseases in deer.

I really want to get into falconry.

The darkwood is a nice piece. Are you a member of (or train with) arma? Not too common to see a rapier anymore.

Cool guns, they're something I want to collect myself.  I plan to purchase these guns:

m1911

m1 garand

a nice revolver

glock 27

they're the guns I'd go out and buy today if I could.

O, and a crazy sniper rifle but I dunno anything about them

something cool I heard about the garand: I heard this on tv but I may say it wrong but during war they used the empty clip going *CHING* to their advantage I THINK this is how it was done, someone would be shooting at you and when they had one bullet left, fire it so you heard the ching noise and when you leaned up their friend shot you lol.

i just returned from a nice walk with mr moto, and mr glock 27 40 caliber, just in case someone wants to mess with old guy with funny dog out at 3 am wearing shorts and his x wife beater.  i have liked firearms eversince i can remember. thank fully i live in a state that allows so called assualt weapons and automatic knives, the photos are serveral years old, i need to photograph them all and catalog them  most of these shotguns i bought at the flea market, just like buying any thing else.  my favorite is the early john browing pump, it has been shortened for home defense, it has such a nice patina, i also like archery, axes, tomahawks, etc

sometimes they would keep and empty stripper clip and drop it (if it could be heard) and have a full 8 rounds in the garand.  so your enemy would think it was empty, although shooting those weapons without hearing protection i would think that the soldiers wouldn't be able to hear that good

Likewise, some people in a gunfight found out the hard way that some "6 shooters" in fact accomodate 8. Oops.

Depends on what you believe is out there. Maybe they see their lifeless body drop from under them sans skullcap, they go OH SHI- and then either a white tunnel opens up in the sky above or a black hole in the ground below depending on whether they were the cowboy with the white hat or the black hat

This is true, maybe the only real person though is you and the rest of us are just figments of your imagination so when someone else dies nothing happens, but when you die Lord Wiccan, we all meet our demise.

That explains why Wiccan_Seeker miraculously survived. Obviously the Shroomery is the source of everlasting lulz for the divine and were Wiccan to be erased, so we too would go poof, and there would be no lulz throughout the cosmos, except for :rebeccablack:

But even so, such cheap Friday fun lulz would eventually and rather quickly make the divine :kingcrankey: and probably ensure he never creates humanity again.

ACK! can you make it ANY harder for me to die when one day I have to? :crankey:
Staying alive for selfish reasons is enough of a head trip already

But the stuff I said, that stuff actually happens with Near Death Experiences. Not a frontal headshot of course but when people have an accident or cardiac arrest or so they see themselves lying on the ground for a while as it dawned on them they died and then stuff starts to happen. Its all over the Internet in all languages of the world in first person, from old people to small children who grew up enough to put what thjey experienced online.

Question is "does that happen too with obliteration of the brain?" and theres no way of knowing that.  You'd be inclined to say no, but what do we really know?

But, weapons collection!

I have a Hanwei Practical Plus Wakizashi sword, a shortsword thats really really sharp and completely functional. About 2 foot long, its the sword Samurai didnt take off when they entered a building. In military terms basically its the pistol as opposed to the rifle carried, the latter being of course the Katana.

Heres one just like it:

I love that thing and I'm fast with it.

When destroying stuff in my house during DIY in the 90s I kept breaking hammer handles so I made a nunchaku out of heavy steel pipe and chain, not as a weapon, but I played with chucks a lot as a kid and I figured a heavy all steel one would help me where hammers failed me. (among chores was to turn a solid granite kitchen counter into convenient pieces). That turned a really unpleasant chore into a really awesome demolition job :awesome:
I still have the chuck and dayum can that thing f*ck your sh*t up, I'd rather take THAT to a Zombie Apocalypse than my Waki.

Weapons, weapons...

On the OpenSimulator virtual reality platform I have created some weapons (yes, among things to shoot zombies) literally from scratch, standard geometric shapes and empty code scripts in the lsl2 scripting language.

Heres two rifles inworld, and I added a second copy of the heavier weapon with the individual geometric shapes (caller "prims" or "primitives") highlighted so you see how I did it:

Its literally completely made out of straight cylinders and spheres warped out of proportion and assembled and linked.

For shooting zombies I initially made the rifle with the 100 round drum. It was such a heavy beast, I made it semi-auto to not lose all sportsmanship and at least give the zombies a slight chance to get within 200ft of me

I coded in all sorts of weird weapon shit, such as that one shot made a zombie fly 50 foot up and 100 back by the sheer impact kinetics of the projectile, one bullet being the equivalent of being hit by a speeding bus . I made it shoot miniature grenades that explode more like artillery shells, made it shoot smoke grenades etc when I started doing conflict gaming a bit, immobilizing rounds (working with lag, not against it) and even (mea culpa) coding bullets to be instant kill in a medieval portion of the game where they only have swords and doing a tiny bit of griefing for the lulz that fortunately worked out well

The thing got WAY too Godmode for the zombies game, at one point I coded a bullet so that when you selected it and shot a whole concrete pillbox bunker would pop up you could hide in and continue your assault LOL, but it got way too little of a challange and I made the lower carbine, loosely based on a Lee Enfield, which after every shot you have to cycle the bolt to reload, which you can only do as fast as an expert marksman IRL can. Now you needed a team to fight the zombies or you'd be a goner, instead of near instantly wiping your whole screen clean of zombies or opponents wondering wtf just hit them, and the zombie game got fun again.

Whatever conflict game you play you wish you could somehow import that assault rifle with the drum, its so incredibly overkill on semi auto that unless they happen to get you first you'll get them all, one by one, making the most wild things happen to them. You're a one man army, they need to nuke you from orbit LOL. It has so much griefing potential I dont sell it ingame, I only give free copies away to my closest friends there and then not even the full versions to avoid tempting them into getting in trouble.

I dont own guns but if I could, I'd REALLY want THESE in RL. It'd be awesome. If there ever was a zombie apocalypse IRL and your friends had these babies, why you'd go to Manhattan, destroy all entry points and clear the whole damn island of zombies with just the few of you, especially with the "unlimited ammo" tweak

i saw modern marvels on the history channel had a segment on tomahawks, that how it started, the one in the photo i bought of ebay, from someone in Colorado that makes them, he make some nice ones, you buy a handle and put it together, i also bought on ebay some tomahawks (not in photo) that he starts with a ball pen hammer and transforms it into a hawk, some soldiers used hawks in Vietnam, they make a very nice reproduction thats not that expensive, they have an updated version of the Vietnam tomahawk that is expensive for firefighters, i have both the newer version has a fiberglass handle, the original is wood.  some have spikes or hammer end opposite the blade.  my parents were over and my father say "are those real tomahawks?)  it was funny when you hold them in your hand, you get a sense what they could do, make firewood, or puncture a kevlar helmet, its nice to have a variety of weapons or tools, some much neat stuff
