I normally do 2 or 3.. But tend to not go beyond 3 just because 80-90% of your fruits happen in the first 2-3 flushes..

Damn almost 2 pounds dry Since my cultures are all pretty old, I have to use up some of my prints to start new jars. I usually don't go past 3 flushes either, sometimes don't exceed 2.

All in fruiting. Here's what my closet looks like, yea, CLOSET. The humidifier is so that the ambient humidity is higher, so moisture won't be leeched from my tubs as quickly since they don't seal very well. The closet isn't very well sealed either so it gets plenty of fresh air from the fan, coupled with me walking in and out of it 10 times a day. I just got 2 kittens, I used to fruit everything in my room and incubate in the closet, but they get into everything the little fuckers, and had to make room to fit the whole operation. Like said before 1 APE, 3 B+. Here it is.

really?i heard from many people that it was an excellent additive to coir. i always use. do u have any more information about this. i spend a lot of money on worm castings so if you can show me some evidence that adding it is a waste of time i will gladly cut it out of my substrate.

Worm castings are rich in nitrogen and other minerals like calcium and a few others I can't remember off-hand, so they can be a useful additive to any bulk substrate. Although, the extent of which is somewhat debatable...some like it, some don't. Some say is comparable to coffee grounds, some say otherwise.
I use it every time with coir-based substrates.

I think it's pretty useless personally. I ran many trials of coir with ewc against without and couldn't detect the slightest difference.

Ah yea, I remember when you were testing that stuff out, anon. Nothing really came from those trials, eh? Meh.
I honestly think the main reason I still use it is the fact that I have for so long now, and it's just become a natural part of the whole process for me. I've never seen a reason not to use it, but then again, I haven't really mixed a coir substrate together without adding it. Plus, I kinda like to follow the whole "a variety of ingredients is better than just one or two" thing when putting together a sub.
Pretty much a "I have it sitting around, so why not add it in." kinda thing, I guess.

nitrogen feeds the microbes in the substrate ... if theres no microbes then its not beneficial ... at least this is my understanding ... so if youre using coir then WC isnt the best addition as WC doesnt come loaded with the microbes like manure compounds do ...
im still a bit puzzled as to why coffee and coir work well together if fungi dont uptake at least some nitrogen in its diet as the nitrogen has no benefit in feeding something that isnt there eg coir ... only thing i can think of is the lower ph benefit ... so coffee as a nitrogen boost in coir is basically useless ... unless youre trying for lower ph ...
