Rained last night...hot today...searched the cow pasture four about two hours...then the woods for two hours...I'm not sure if I'm not searching right...I know what to look for although I'm a noob and only became interested since early February..This is just fucking annoying.

Not all pastures are colonized. I live where basically everybody owns a farm and of that there's one maybe two pastures that are fruitful. Just be patient

well, first of all make sure that you're in the right climate zone for poo-lovers (I assume you're looking for cubes).
When you're in a field, go for the patches of trees and tall grass where there's lots of shade. If you're just looking in the middle of a sun-dried pasture then of course you won't find any...
Also, be super careful of ranchers. They WILL shoot you with rock salt or otherwise call the cops on you.

Hey man relax... Honestly you have to be patient... Without patience its useless... It shouldn't be annoying not to find a mushy, it should just make you want to search harder... I"m telling you my last four years I have hunted the same species Cube's... Usually, every time i check my field and come up empty handed, I'll pray that God will bless the field... You can't just make them grow... And plus if the farmers feed them feed that keeps them from producing the fruit you will just be wasting time in an empty field... Peace out , God bless, Good luck ... Stony

Yup... Happens... But, you're outside... Youre on the hunt... Better than inside wishing!
Hang in there.... Fall will be here... Spring is hit and miss... Keep at it, read up on habitat and seasons... If not finding any, be looking for likely spots to search in the fall
Join a local mushroom group.. Go out in hunts and forays

10 hours? Most people I know have looked relentlessly for months and even years, season after season, before they found a single active mushroom. Mushrooms don't follw the equation rain + cows + field = magic mushrooms. Anyone who is looking for a particular mushroom and calculates in hours should either adjust their inner time scale or find another hobby.

Yeah, I kept tabs on how much time I spent looking for certain mushrooms for a while until I realized that just about any time I am not inside (And I suppose often, even then) I am looking for mushrooms.
