Hey everyone.
I just adopted this Siberian Husky Girl from a guy who could no longer care for her properly. She is a bundle of energy, but is possibly the most beautiful dog I've seen. She loves giving kisses and just being crazy in general. We will see how well I can train her. It is certainly going to be more of a challenge than it was to train the pitbull I fostered.
I haven't decided on a name yet......

Her original name is "minnie" and that just won't do!
What do you guys think?
I was thinking Molly or Mollie? Which is the typical spelling for our kind ?
Want to know what's best of all? She didn't cost me a dime

These pictures really don't do her justice...

Get that dog some real dog food! That Purina Beneful stuff is absolute garbage in a bag.
I'd go w/ Molli...
O yea, sexy dog too. Here's my baby (Argohl) he's pit/boxer mix.

Nice, Huskies are great dogs, albeit high-maintenance. Make sure she gets lots of exercise. In my experience they tend to be more intelligent than other breeds, but they have a mischievous side. and they shed A LOT.
A family friend's Husky saved her life, she had an aneurysm in her car pulled over on the side of the road and the Husky barked until someone came to the rescue.

I want a husky so bad.

Yeah, I know. That's not what I picked, it was given to me by its owner. I'm going to get her on some Natural Choice or Blue Buffalo.
I do like the spelling Molli....
She will definitely get a decent amount of exercise. I have a fenced in 200 yard park in my apartment complex that I can probably throw a ball for her. I also live next to the largest park in my city with plenty of biking and jogging room. She definitely won't be allowed off leash in a non-gated area!!!!
Edit: My God, am I learning all about that shedding right now !!!
I live in Texas, so I think this is the time of year where they blow their coats. I'm brushing her right now and I swear I could make someone a pillow out of all the hair I'm getting.

The shedding will get to be year round due to her being a mostly indoor dog. But yea, it's a PITA. I feed my guy Wellness Large Breed Puppy ATM. I'll be moving him up to EVO 90% meat diet this summer so I can bulk him up a bit. He's only 70 lbs. @ 19 months.

Minerva! Huskies are smart, and she has ice colored eyes, not grey, but close enough. I'm a fan of mythological names for animals haha. Or, name her after a scientist.

Be careful, huskeys are genetically inclined to run away.
