you got noble pils? who set that trap for you?  the boddingtons is pretty good for no carbonation, reminds me of cream soda.  im curious to see how that abbey ipa you got is, ive never had it personally.  its a shame you went with such readily available beers, but to each their own.  that sierra nevada is a good choice though.  its easier to recommend beers based on your location but i can understand anyones hesitation especially on a site like this.  the problem lies in a lot of distributors and breweries are quite picky about which states they will and will not distribute to.  theres a couple of beer trading websites on the internet that might pique your interest.  allows you to get a hold of some of the best beer in the world, from people around you, and at a solid price.

I'm gonna go downtown to this place I know that carries obscure and hard to find beers... didn't get around to doing that this past weekend because I had a lot of things to do.

Some of the best beer I've had, was actually in restaurants that have microbreweries on site and don't distribute it, so you can only get it while you're there, or buy a growler and take a little home with you, you can't buy it anywhere else.

I haven't tried to noble pils yet, but it was a Sam Adams I haven't seen before so I thought I'd give it a try.  I haven't tried that new blue moon either, actually bought that 6 pack and the sunset wheat for my girlfriend because she doesn't like real "hoppy" beers or darker beers/stouts.

I'm gonna try to find pretty much every thing that was listed on this thread (minus the shlitz and pbr people posted, haha)...

If anyone else has any more craft beer suggestions, send 'em my way, because I'm all about trying new beers.

Cheers

I can't drink PBR anymore.  I used to go to this bar that sold 50cent drafts of PBR, and like 4$ pitchers, which equaled to about 30cents a draft... I would buy it buy the pitcher, bartender asked me how many glasses I needed, I took a sip out of the pitcher and said "glasses?"

After a night of straight PBR drinking, I would always wake up with the most debilitating hangovers ever, and then I would always end up back there the next weekend (or the next night) and do it to myself all over again.

After a while of doing that, I just can't take it anymore.

i had a north coast stock ale from '09 and 10 and they both were equally good.  great ale with a slight chocolatelyness? to it.  its close to 12%, so i only drank six or so ounces, but great stuff.  usually ive seen it in the $35 750ml bottles, but i found a 12oz bottle and bought it earlier.

oh and for sure about the growler, any micro place you can go to usually has great stuff on tap.  usually theyll take one of their favorite beers and cask it in a oak, cherry, brandy, etc, barrels and age it for a little while so the beer can absorb the flavors.

I know you've gone and bought all your beer but you should really go and purchase one of these bad boys. Just don't drink it after you've been drinking already. Let this one speak for itself.

You won't regret this beer if you do it right. Let it sit in the fridge for a day and pop it open and pour a glass.. don't drink it from the bottle. Again, I can't stress enough to not have any other beer before it.. or after if you choose. This is truly a one of a kind.

Hehe, Delerium Tremens... I like the name, considering my former battles with hard drinking and withdrawals.

I Will try it if I can find it, and drink it 'the proper way'.  Believe me, methodology is important to me.

The beer I bought was just a way to start the fridge out, it will never be complete!

I'm buying another fridge to sit on top of that fridge that is specifically designed to hold beer bottles and nothing else.

I have about $600 right now that I'm willing to spend on getting my place stocked up with liquors and beers...

A portion of that money is going to supplies and materials necessary to build my own liquor cabinet and stock it with fine spirits.
I'm not big on liquor, so it's mostly for show or to offer it to guests when they are invited over, but the occasional snifter of Cognac on a cold rainy day or a stiff drink after a rough day of work and chores is nice.

I see you got hoegaarden.  Good choice.  My favorite though is Leffe Blonde.  Best beer I've ever had.

The Muskoka Summer Weiss I posted is a seasonal wheat beer from a small brewery in Ontario.  It was actually mind-blowingly good, I'm going to pick up some more for after exams.
