B+ Curiosities (Anybody with experience)

So My pet ferrets are curious if anybody here has cased B+ colonised rye with a fifty fifty peat vermiculite casing with some oystershells and hydrated lime.
Everything seems ok but the pins are taking forever and I'm getting worried that overlay could be a possibility, am I just paranoid, or do i need to just wait longer.

Its been twelve days since they put them in the fruiting chamber

how damp does it seem?Might be worth a few sprays with clean water.
But 12 days isnt so long.Maybe just wait a bit longer.

Whoa! I think one night is all it took One of my pets trays has started to form small little knots, by the way though they are pretty damp. The mycellium is quite fluffy, and I just dropped the humidity by ten percent.

AFOFOM used a similar casing utilizing Oss and Oeric method (quart jars with rye berry). Pinning took over three weeks, but the fruiting was spectaculr (one 'shroom was 110 grams !!!) No fruiting chamber was used per se as and misting was used to maintain humidity. You may want to check out what Hawke has to say with regard to humidity. Basially: !00% humidity is OK for cakes, but too high for cased substrate.
