An alcoholic that doesn't get drunk. That's pretty funny.
I guess the definition of alcoholic is extremely variable, depending on who's saying it. But if you don't get withdrawals from stopping, I don't think you're an alcoholic. Just like I don't think you're a heroin addict if you don't ever nod, and don't get withdrawals from stopping.

i don't believe smoking weed is damaging to your lungs at all. ok maybe a little bit, but i've been a HEAVY smoker for awhile and never had even the slightest hint of lung problems/decreased lung capacity. EXCEPT for a 6 month period where i was smoking meth/cigarettes everyday
seriously though, i think humans are meant to smoke weed and i believe there are natural remedies/herbs and thangs' on this earth we can use to easily mitigate the very minor damage to the lungs weed may cause
alcohol feels good to me for about 20 minutes tops if i smash about 7 shots, after that i just feel stupid and regretful. much better ways to get your enjoyment out of life

Smashing 7 shots would make me spin and then puke.
I might accept it if you said "humans are meant to EAT weed" but humans are not supposed to SMOKE anything.
You think covering your lungs in tar causes very minor damage? You're sorely mistaken. I have much more severe physical damage from smoking pot than I have from drinking. I don't ever smoke cigarettes.

Topic kind of got derailed there.. I'm wondering though why would you need a full two months to lower alcohol tolerance?? Especially when any other drug is two weeks or so max? Doesn't seem accurate, of course everybody's body is different. I'm assuming that when I drink Saturday I'm going to get smashed off of considerably less then I usually require..then I'm gonna go at least another week to two weeks after that before I drink again....hopefully.

Whether or not that's true, your GABA receptors should still upregulate.

hmm that's interesting and also discouraging haha. I'm really hoping I can obtain that happy energetic buzz I used to get off of 3 beers again with just these 2 weeks or so and obviously not drinking all the time again.

I drink 3-4 times a week and still get buzzed off 2 drinks or so.
I find that hard alcohol always get me buzzed quickly too. As in... I take a sip and almost immediately feel it. (I guess this is because it is absorbed through the esophagus.)

every single time i take my first SIP of wine or champagne i get this weird rush feeling.
i think it happens now because i expect it? but its hard to explain, like a short booze rush just off one sip. weird

haha shit I know the feeling I was getting there and figured I probably needed a break, I might just give it up altogether if I'm going to be stuck drinking enormous quantities to achieve a decent buzz. Plus it was starting to really kill my wallet. (main reason I stopped actually)

i drink almost every day and two drinks still buzzes me.
I never get blasted drunk tho......
Their does not seam to be tolerance going away after a break. You want to get more drunk quicker then drink on an empty stomach. i am drunk now :P

I get that after a sip of anything. It's probably 80 percent mental and 20 percent alcohol. I get "drunk" or "buzzed" off my first sip pretty much.

I don't get that after a sip of beer or wine. But after a lot of drinking, I'm sure some of it is psychosomatic.
I think another problem here lies in the definition of "buzzed." I have a feeling you guys want to get somewhere closer to plastered... Which is something I'd never try to do. So I don't see a problem drinking all the time.

I love the initial rush I get from alcohol. I call it the shivers and it feels good as fuck.
I'm an alcoholic though and I know of no one else that feels the way I do after I take a shot. It is seriously like an orgasm.
Why lower the tolerance? Alcohol is cheap... just up the dose

yeh definitely. i was gonna add that after three months the euphoric effects hadn't really increased much. that would take a year or more to notice a significant difference
