"Opmphilina"
Is this word even pronouncable?
Love the pics though. The Stereum is my favorite.

Nice!!!!
Baeospora myriadophylla! They are rare; I have found it once but not in nearly as good condition.
You should post it on http://MushroomObserver.org

Very cool find Symon! I was going to say, minus this, I have been finding the same exact strains lately. Lots of Omphalina sp. and Steream/Trametes sp. and of course the ever-present Ganoderma sp.. My sig has a Ganoderma applanatum that is likely around the same size as the one you found! But yeah, the Baeospora sp. are super frickin cool!

Cool finds
That Ganoderma is a giant! The Baeospora are interesting too.
If there was algae growing on the log I would lean toward Lichenomphalia umbellifera

Thanks Tim, ya the conk was really massive and in restine shape too, i hope no one messes with it.
you could be right, i will have to go back. i recall the log to be full of moss, but lichen could easily have been present and overlooked. thanks tim!

Hah. Danny looks worried or confused.
They can have a very strong attachment to the wood, as demonstrated by this photo of one holding the weight of two people. It is suspected to be G. brownii.
