Ha it's hard being a twins fan nowadays.. other than Target Field on a summer day! Last game I went to they played Oakland I think, were down like 1-0 in the 8th and came back all clutch like (and so uncharacteristically)
I feel like if we don't spend more on some better players we won't have a chance.
Unless Morneau gets healthy and dominant again and Mauer picks it back up. When Mauer was getting MVP and Morneau was getting tons of big hits I felt we stood a chance. Not so much anymore. We don't have one solid ace. Dunno

There's many other great things to enjoy at an outdoors baseball game on a great day in a sweet new stadium.
That game I was speaking of was opening day at Target Field this year with my mom. Was kind of chilly but very fun too.
I also saw them win 7-0 against the Rays on the 4th of July. Also an amazing day/game, later capped off by my first real acid trip. One of the better days in my life

Jose Reyes signed a 6 year deal with the Marlins. The new stadium better bring in as much new revenue as they're hoping it will. I'll shit my balls through my ass if they sign Pujols too.

Reyes has had all kinds of hammy problems. It's a risky deal, but it could pay off for them. I'd much rather have Reyes for the next 6 years than C.J. Wilson, that's for sure. I don't see Pujols ever falling off a cliff, but there almost no chance he'll be worth his contract. I still think Pujols is going to sign with the Cardinals.

Absolutely. He should have been in years ago. Next player I want to see in the HOF is Tim Raines.

That's because he was on the Expos when he was awesome. IMO, Raines should have been 2nd ballot HOF'er. I also wouldn't be opposed to Pete Rose getting into the HOF, too.

I think a lot of borderline future HOFers will get inducted after they die. It seems that when someone dies, anything they have done in the past that is bad gets washed away. Pete Rose, Bonds, A-rod someday. They will all be in once they pass.

My idea is that all guys with HOF talent should get in regardless of anything else. IMO guys like Bonds and Clemens and A-Rod had HOF talent before steroids so they should still get in. Maybe wait tens years or something after they retire as a kind of punishment. Guys like Palmeiro and McGwire I don't think they would have put up HOF numbers without the steroids so they shouldn't get in.

IDK, Rob....they directly put a huge black eye on the game and forever here on a lot of records will be in question due to their hijinks.
Look at poor Maris/Ruth/Aaron...their incredible records broken by shady means.
I dont think they should be in, IMO

Don't forget that a huge number of their competitors, including pitchers, were also juicing. Especially pitchers. I seem to recall that there was more juicing among pitchers than position players.

I dont think you can look at a career like A-Rods and NOT vote him into the hall of fame.
I mean, think about how many other players probably got away with juicing. We'll never know... it's only these big name players that EVERYONE knows that get all this attention.
I think if you take away A-Rods years in texas, he is still a HOF ball player. He's proven himself time and time again as one of the most elite players in the game, and I think that's worth something...
especially during an era when SO many other players were juicing! Not saying I think its OK, but if you're going to make an example of someone, you have to do it for everyone.
It'll be interesting to see what happens at the end of A-Rods career....and maybe after Bud Selig dies they'll let Pete Rose in the HOF
