Verlander doesn't just win the CY Award, but a dark horse for MVP he's been that good.
NL is gonna go to Halladay, but honestly, if Lee can continue the absolute tear he has been on, he might win it. It's real close between Halladay, Kershaw, and Lee...After tonight's complete game shutout, I would give the edge to Halladay.

He's the only true doctor in his sport. Or should we call him a wizard. He's like LSD. He's just something else..

Cliff Lee was 1 pitch away from his 7th CGS... ugghhhh I was there (after the flyers-caps rookie game) we went so fucking silent when he gave up that homerun.
On a separate note, DOUBLE RAINBOW AT CBP, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

The entire squad looked sick. Shenn was laying out HUGE checks, there was a couple fights, and Kessel had a goal and had a great pass on the first goal which lead to just mean dangles all the way.

Strasburg, man. 14 innings since his comeback from TJ surgery and zero walks. He's not human.

RAYS, RAYS, RAYS. Can close within 2 of the Bosox today with Price going against Wakefield. Watching the game yesterday the announcers said that the Rays lost something like their top five salaried players from the year before, (Pena, Garza, Crawford, etc.) and if they win today it's a race.
Problem is the Bosox play the O's 6 times in their last 11 games while the Rays play two series agaisnt the Yanks. Still have a shot at it though.

he should have two wins. the guy has ethereal talent. i dare say if he stays healthy his peak could be as good as 1999-2000 pedro martinez. i really believe that. he's got a fastball like verlander, a changeup like king felix, a curve like gio gonzalez, and command like halladay. the only way he could be better is if he were left handed.
ps
I will be taking cliff lee with my first pick and stephen strasburg with my second pick in next years draft. you may as well not even try to win.

What do you think of the Brandon Beachy kid on the Braves? Came out of thin air and his K/9 has been off the charts. Scouts were saying his ceiling was a 4/5, but I think it's time to bump him up into a potential number 2 starter.
