Yeah I got pretty excited when I saw they signed Cliff Lee again. I mean last year the Phillies were favorites to win it all but in the NLCS they started not really hitting again, the pitching was really great last year too just no run support.

Are you from Philly or just a Phillies fan?
and so far the pitching hasn't been as shut down as predicted, but still dominate by all aspects...each pitcher has been hit around so far, but besides the one blemish on all acounts, they have pitched gems as well.

it's been rough man....5 games at home and 13 on the road! (after tonight 14) and it's been mostly east coast teams, we have issues winning on the east coast.
we are also down 3 starters now....
the central dev. will turn upside-down from what it is now by the end of the season.

Got to admit, I am surprised by how well the Indians have started the season. Masterson has been very solid pitching, I think he's like 3-0 with a 1.30 ERA.
I cant believe how badly Fausto Carmona has gone down hill. One season he was looking like a future great, now he struggles just about every game.

I think the big innings jump in 2007 is the reason Carmona has had so many problems. Such a hard sinker should be one of the most effective pitches in the game.

I agree. Indians actually had some promise that year, that was the year we lost Sabathia. and Sizemore and Haftner were in their prime putting up monster numbers.
Hopefully we can get through an entire season with Sizemore healthy and producing
Still think the Reds have a better shot at making the playoffs though

1 game and they are playin a solid Twins team on the road. I am not worried. And Carmona is pitching.

Good luck on the Indians even being a .500 team this year. Lineup and pitching, WEAK. Despite their hot start. It's still April.

I think it is a bit early to judge their pitching staff. They have a lot of young pitchers who so far have looked solid. Their lineup isnt all that weak either. Have a pretty solid catcher. Room for improvement but a healthy Sizemore can make a world of difference. The kid does it all

that was a good outing for the Twins, but the Indians pitching looked rather sad. i thought we had issues with the mound....

Again, it's Carmona. The dude looks out of shape and has put on 50 lbs since 2007 when he had his good season

I'm from northeast PA. Well I wasn't expecting total shutdown dominating cause most pitchers to get hit around on a bit but It has been pretty good. Blanton only had one bad start but so far he's getting over his 5th inning blunders.

Knock on wood he continues to throw daggers. How many innings do you think Aroldis Chapman will remain with a 0.00 ERA?
He currently stands at 11.2 IP, 2-0 record, 12 SO, 1.03 WHIP, 0.00 ERA
Reds and Indians are both playing well so far. Early it may be, I know.

He's walked 8 or 9 guys already. He's getting pretty lucky. Not that he isn't very good, but with that kind of walk rate he's more of a 3.50 ERA pitcher in the bullpen. I still think he should be in the triple a rotation.

still have Bailey and Cueto to come off the DL, Reds have a deep pitching staff.

Bartolo Colon on the Yankees beating Verlander, why the sudden turnarond after years of injuries and shitty play? Still won't the Red Sox win the division? May is just starting.

I would not sell the Yankees short any year. The Red Sox starting staff is not scary by any means. And their bullpen.........The Yankees' is much better and over the course of the year the bullpen probably pitches about 1/3 of a team's innings.
