Habitat: Found these floating all over my front garden after some solid rain. Area is short grass.
Gills: White
Cap: Smaller or what I consider the younger shrooms (They were all in the same group/area) have an orange top and seem to turn black with age.
Bruising: Black. Can be seen on the smallest (furthest right).
Other information:

Thank you for any information!

Hygrocybe conica or something very close.

I've seen them listed as edible, poisonous and hallucinogenic, depending on the source.

Arora reports that a lot of the old poisonous tags were because four deaths in China in 1917 were attributed to it. There has been no other severe toxicity reported with it, although some people have gotten GI upsets and stuff like that. It's small enough that it's of no interest as an edible and has no psilocybin in it, so it doesn't surprise me that information on its edibility or lack thereof is scattershot.

These were few of many. There is probably a good hundred or so scattered over a small area, mainly in clumps. I'll get a picture for you a little later on!
