Right on man :awedance: Magic gyms are popping up everywhere it seems. They are very relaxing and mellow from my experience. I'm with Bloodworm and Psylo with wanting a print:wink:

Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

i posted this to the wrong thread somehow.

so, i'm not dead.

i peaked at lvl 3 around t+90, and i was actually asleep by about 3-4 hours after i drank the tea.

definitely a different experience than p. cubensis alone.  my thoughts and ideations were much clearer and saner, the 'body trip' part was very intense, and the normal nonsensical geometric patterns i'd see when i shut my eyes were much more interesting.

i feel just a little hung over.

thanks, all!

Final thoughts:

4 days later, i'm not poisoned.  if there is any toxicity, it is limited.

Habitat:  Central Florida.  I find these on the shaded parts of fallen Sabal Palm trees that are ~1 year old (since fallen).  They range in size from pins, to approx 4-5" across.  I tend to find them densely clustered at the high-water edge of flood plains (where the highest level of water from a nearby creek or lake would bring fallen logs).

These mushrooms are extremely heavy with the spores.  You may locate these by looking for the rusty colored areas around the mature caps.  when i say heavy, i mean there is a visible layer of spores at least a mm thick under older caps.  they will stain your hands like cheetos.

They bruise blue, but are somewhat random with the amount of bluing and the areas that visibly bruise.

Anyone who has any questions about these central florida beauties, please ask away, I will answer to the best of my knowledge/experience.

Dosage was approx ~100g wet, according to bloodworm's recipe for tea.  One thing I would say about these is there is a marked depressive effect;  I was floorbound at t+60, and was sound asleep at t+180.  The visuals are strange, even by fungal standards, though not 'bad' by any means.

Awesome find man! glad you had a good time. These are what I'm currently trying to find since a bunch of people in central FL have been finding them lately.

I agree with you compared to other actives.  These were my 1st woodloving actives I've ever tried.  I like them alot.  They are different but niiiiiice. They have a kava root like effect and I like kava!

look around where the trunk meets the ground or any other thing that could provide water drops or shade.  palm trunks around 1-3 years old seem to be the favored home for these.  you may have to brush aside loam or detritus to reach the stems, but you will see the little orange peeking out from the shady parts.  also look for trails of orange spores.  they make a mess where they live.

some will blue, some won't, but beware:  i have seen them living in palm trunks that were also colonized by 2-3 other types of mushroom.  make sure you are picking with great deliberation so as not to grab a nasty.

post pics for a trusted identifier to review.  there are other orange mushrooms that i understand to be very ugly on your insidey parts.

i think i will enjoy them more the next time, now that i know what to expect.  one other note:  all the visuals seems to be kind of nature themed, so to speak.  trees covered in ants, laughing cartoony yellow mushrooms (cliche, but it's like one was camped out in my brain taking great joy in my inebriation), and lots of weird foxfire type visual artifacts.

i do suspect a small degree of toxicity, although i couldn't tell you how much or what kind.  i have felt very slightly hung over for a day or two afterwards.

These are a match macroscopically for G. palmicola with the saffron yellow colors and the off-centered stem. I've read that they bruise green and are in the aeruginosus-luteofolius group, which leans towards them being active.

Good to see someone other than myself who sees the cladistic grouping as being of predictive value. Possibly moreso than the old list which needs revision.
That being said many known active gym species still urgently need sequencing.
