I was just wondering about what soil/fertilizers combination did you use for your strawberries? Everyone's backyard should have a bigass bin full of beautiful crazy looking fungus.

hey y'all I used fish emulsion fert and a little molasses. Popped up like crazy afterwards.
BAD NEWS! I had to leave for a few days and got back and my roomates RIPPED UP the mushrooms! WTF! I told them to leave them be and my girlfriend would CUT them down. I guess they didn't listen. I'm SO bummed, why would you rip them up! It almost seems just common sense not to do that! Is it totally f-ed now? Will they ever grow back? I have a feeling they destroyed a planned mushroom garden that had probably been coming back for years and would have continued.
puts a huge damper on the Trip already, not nearly as excited to eat these anymore....fuck.

looking at the dried ripped up mushrooms makes me want to cry. They look straight up pulled up from the ground. Is there a chance some spores dropped and it'll come back or is the mushroom garden destroyed? I can't believe over 200 psychedelic mushrooms were ALL ripped up and all that wonderful mycelium was destroyed (i think).

i'm no expert but with a bed that big the mycelium will recover... as long as they didn't use a shovel! lol This is just my opinion.
Also you might want to put a thin layer of horse or cow shit where they ripped out the mushys.
If theys any misspelling or gramer problems with the post, I'm sorry, I'm have a hard time typeiong right now

sweet, THanks KY! I hope you are right. Hope ya are having a good time! I don't know why they did it all....i guess there was a huge downpour and they said they all looked very ready and if they waited too much longer they thought they would die. They asked a friend that grows mushies and he said the pull them up what?? Im pretty sure i mentioned you had to leave the bottom and use scissors.....but i guess they took the other guys advice. I showed them this thread too and it talks about this, so I can't figure out why it happened. If i find another patch in the yard someday I think I might not show the roomeys! damn. But I watered heavily yesterday with fish emulsion and molasses again. Hope it comes back.

I really think it will. There has to be loads of strong myc under there to produce like that.
Are there big huge hunks of myc hanging off the bottom of the mushys? or just a little with a few little myc strings attached?
edit: Thanks! I'm having a great time!

WTF I'm pissed off at your roommates!!!
Recklessly ripping up someones garden, Or even more stupid, someones shroom patch.!
Maybe post some pics so we can see how bad it is ripped up You'll most likely be getting more popping up though so don't worry that much

That's like taking candy from a baby Sucks dude, that was such a nice patch as well.
If all goes well it should recover fine, with the amount of shrooms you had there I could imagine the network of Mycelia would be somewhat extensive. Assuming they didn't rip it all out with the mushrooms..
Good luck man
