Cased Eq's or Tapalpa's ( not sure anymore.. mixed up.. ) on poop/straw.
It was noticed that first flush fruits look real good, caramel coloured, straight rounded stems..
2nd flush fruits tend to have semi-wavy caps. darker coloured, ( less, but bigger fruits in total flush ) and the stems seem darker ( brown streaks ) and not perfectly round....?????
What's the cause of this... ph problem with casing layer,,, too dry.. too wet, just the way it is?????????

oh:
3rd flush... well, i'm working on that.. i've had it happen a few times, but tend to get green by this point. so it's iffy. but same pattern.

too much water in the casing layer. causes the striping for sure.

yeah my supermodel loveslaves gets smaller flushes in the end but way larger and meatier shrooms

been almost 3 months since inoculation and still they come. 2 2/3-full quarts of wbs have produced over 60 dry grams of lipa yai so far.

Cased seed... or spawned with straw and poop???
If it was spawned you should get more.. . right?
Best so far was roughly 45 dry grams from 1 flush. 2 gal rubbermaid blue container.

1 quart WBS jar a la 6T. Inoculated with multispore syringe. EQ. or Tapalpa.
12 Quart PC pot filled with cut straw and composted cow manure with humus ( store baught ). pasteurized 1 hr 30 mins
Let cool in water, remove and squeeze in sink using 12 x 12 inch piece of wood to get as much water out as possible.
Set in strainer on top of plastic bucket, cover with paper towel to ward off dust.
Next day, line 2 gal plastic rubbermaid with tin foil ( clean bin with javex and water, wipe dry, then line with foil ) spray down foil with lysol, loosely cover with plastic lid, let lysol evaporate. the bins are lined with foil cuz light goes thru them after being cleaned with bleach a few times, and you will get pins on the sides.
while lysol evaporates, transfer poop/straw*( pasteurized together ) into clean rubbermaid container ( simply do this to ease up on mess, working out of a pillow case is messy and a PITA ), break it up and fluff it out, as it got packed down real good the day before and you don't want hard chunks.
Break up jar of grain into new, never opened before, plastic bag ( glad green bags ), crush up grain completely.
Layer some grain on bottom, add poopstraw about 1 inch, more grain, and using gloved hands cleaned with lysol, gently mead grain and poopstraw ( P.S. from now on ) add more grain, P.S., grain. P.S. until bin is filled to within 1 inch of lip.
Keep enough grain to make sure you can cover the top layer with a healty coating ie: 1/2 cup worth, don't measure, just make sure you have some left )
Make it airy, don't pack it down,, P.S. mix is about 30 % straw, 70 % comped poop.
Put cover on, let it sit for about 1 week, once the surface is completely colonized, or at least 80 to 90 %, add a casing layer, i use 4 parts verm 1 part peat moss, PC'ed in jars for later use.
Lay a 1/4 to 1/2 inch layer, by opening jar, and sprinkling it over casing, just enough to cover all the white mycelium blanket. Make the sides a bit thicker, seems to help even pin formation.. just an observation.
Put cover back on, wait about 3 to 5 days for mycelium to poke thru, patch the first signs of growth with a tiny amount of verm/peat. incubate anoter 2 -3 days. and then remove lid and fruit away.
ok, my fingers are cramped... but this should give you 1 oz flushes dry if done with due care.
