Well it seems to me that unless you're employed by some journalistic entity already, you're gonna have to pay for your own travel expenses

Doh, it was a kayak.

he FEELS like he is needed, and he may be.
but yeah, it's expen$ive, so u gonna have to do thangs to be able to get there.
If at any moment in time you really NEED to be there, then you will never be there, because that is where you NEED to be.
now if u end up goin' there, then u did NEED to be there, but not anymore cuz ur already there.

The last thing japan needs is some hipster college kid in his "post adolescent idealistic phase"
To show up, and exploit their situation for reasons so deeply rooted, it would take 2 years of therapy just to figure out your motive
Do everyone a favor and turn on youtube and take pictures of your computer screen
Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase
The time after the pointless teen years in which a young person develops what are called "standards" and "morals." It is a time in which eyes are opened and "The Truth" suddenly becomes clear.
Usually beginning when one enters college, said young person reads deep literature, searches for the meaning of life, and listens to college radio, all the while secretly becoming even more confused than when he/she was an lame 16 year old.
The Post-Adolescent Idealistic Phase usually entails naive 18-20something year olds upholding hopeful, yet unrealistic morals. Often, utopian dreams can be confused for "The Truth."
After the phase has ended, the young person must beware becoming highly hypocritical and/or jaded once life has slapped them around a bit. "Is Josh giving you shit because he going through his post-adolescent idealistic phase?"
-------------------- Hippies and Liberals love Pope Francis, so why dont I quote him for you guys. "There is NO SALVATION outside the Catholic Church"

I think we should all chip together for his flight and accomodation the Japanese people reallly need another camera, I bet the only thing they could need or want more than another camera is another tsunami.
Just incase anyone doesn't get it I might have been slightly sarcastic there

you can't get there unless you're filthy rich. When Haiti had their issue I tried to go, and was told be a red cross representative that I could try to get myself there, but would most likely die as did many Americans who tried to find their way in. Japan is probably no where near as bad, but good fucking luck getting in

You'd fly. I mean, how did you think one would go about traveling to Japan?
I don't think travel is restricted. I searched kayak and you can get there for about 1-2k.
Fly into tokyo and go from there.
