Im not asking for the info, i just want to know your experience on finding sub's and the habbitat YOU commenly find them in. Very close to plants Near water Under/beside a gum tree Etc Etc..
I ussaly find them right next to a small bush, i think they like to colonized around plant roots for structure and support, urh allways on gumleaves and gum tree bleached bark...
What habitat do you find them mostly?

From what I have seen on this message board, they love fresh horse manure.

Wait... you did mean Panaeolus cinctulus and not Psilocybe subaeruginosa, right?
If not then disregard what I just said.

the only habitat that i have ever found subs and i have found many are in wood chip gardens, like the ones in parking lots, playgrounds. eventually i had a habit of looking for them wherever i went.i think the chip is made of pine bark. i also think that the temps need to be cold for fruits and of course after some rain. goodluck happy hunting.

I mean woodlover sub's, not subb's :P I have soooo much wood chip features around my town, everywhere! road dividers, playgrounds, garderns, Just random chips everywhere. They are white as white and have been there for a long time. Im sure they will be very fruitfull But i dont like people seeing me walk around with a bag picking shrooms haah so i will go early morning, but for now im stuck at home, i have a alot of land, gum trees and wood covered ground to open grassy paddoks, to water ways, so i have pleanty of habitat, Would it be a good place to look under big gumtrees and fallen branches with heaps of leaves on the ground? i cant find any at my place
