Im knew to cacti , so thats why i was surprised when i grafted some seedlings now i have a peyote that looks to be ripping,,

they dont have sun burn seeing how there never in the sun

you.ve heard from the rest now listen to the... not best by a llong shot. LOL.
that happened to one of mine one time when it had suffered some type of shade coth burn.
thats when my loph was splitting.

I think it's pupping and not splitting from excess water.
More time will tell you what's up. Just back off watering for a while until it feels soft, then water as normal. This is just to ensure that it isn't the waterings that are causing it.

its even worse now, ill take pics when my phone is charged,
it looks like the one peyote is pushing out another peyote from it

so it was just pupping after all ,
there seems to be another tear, so maybe its pupping again , i have to say , peyote grafted to san pedro, when both were only 6 months old

But you did manage to pull off a successful graft so you did more than just water it.
It looks like it's putting on some good growth, you should have a flower in the next year I would think. Excited yet?

i am , it was my first graft so that made me even more happier, also my failed graft is growing again with some older posts i saw by you im pretty sure,
so all in all , my little grafting adventure turned out perfect, i also started on the blue, M, san.pedro , stack thing, i really like cacti , actually alot more then plants or fungi
but a flower in the next year, that made me smile huge, even more so when i check the dates on the containers

failed graft coming back to life, both these peyotes are the same age

i do not take them out of the closet except for these pictures, i dont touch them so i dont know how they get damage, my guess is speedy growth
