You see how throughout the jar there is all that uncolonized millet?

It's clearly dried out my friend. That shit will take forever and a day to colonize, if ever.

Ok, cool.
What I do in cases like this is nothing at all. Just wait.
If it re-colonizes, even thinly, go ahead and spawn it, that's when it'll get the moisture it craves.
I stopped trying to inject sterile water into jars long ago, never really worked out for me.

@jon- Usually the 'uncolonized millet' is little pieces of hull, IME.

Thank you doc, i will wait for it to get back to par and then ill go ahead and spawn it. Seeing it all thick like that made me wish i just scraped the top and spawned.

I've done it that way too.

I tend to make too many spawn jars, then I'm lazy about spawning them
So I get dry jars more than I probably should.
All in all, it's not that big of a deal, but try to avoid the situation in the future.

yeah...just looks like its too wet..

Cased before when the stuff wan't even done colonizing da jarz. just get rid of the stuff that isn 't colonized and case that mo fo..

HAVE USED.. T VECK for Filters, tissue for filters, coffee filters for filters, paper cloth for filters. ALL WORKED...Never got contams.. even once stored them behind a dusty water heater with only paper towel as filsters and didn't get rott..

of course TVECK is more durable and u can write on it so thats da best me thinks...
