yep should do. I have always soaked my seeds for 24 in just plain water first before planting them in coir cubes but your method should work fine.

Put it in a plastic cup and cover it with some seran wrap or w/e so it can stay humid and break out of it's shell. I've germinated a lot like this.

Keep the temp above 65 degrees and expose the seedlings to light as soon as they germinate or they'll get leggy. No need to cover you create good conditions for damping off on germinating seeds..

Ok thank everyone , they are currently still in the sealed container in thd cupboard. There are no signs of lifes, as of yet. What now? Leave them in the dark, check occationaly, and when i see a little green thing, move it to indirect sunlight ( or direct? ) does this sound like a solid plan and what else do i need to do, its going to be a outside grow. 3 plants max, not realy looking to get much, just a experiment :/ Should i grow them 10cm tall iindoors then transplant outside?
Sorry for the newb talk, i have only had freinds that grow

The papertowel method is best imo. Never had any problems with it or better results from anything else.

Just learn how to spot bannanas and you can probably pick/snip them off so long as they don't get too out of hand. Keep stress levels down as much as possible and you might not even see any.

You are aware that cannabis is a warm season growing species? We're coming into Winter now and you would of been better to wait until Spring when the traditional growing season starts.
Not trying to bust your balls just thought I'd let you know. They'll still grow but you'll have to wait a long time before they start to flower.
