yes, but it's what you take to be "i".  It's the foundation of the ego.  It really is "you." But it's not "me," if that makes sense.  It's consciousness, and if you're equating that with matter, that is true ultimately but from a realization standpoint you're more likely to get it if you look within, at the heart, at the "i am."  You seem to understand this very mentally, up in the head.  You need to bring it down there, into the heart, and you can actually have an experience where you truly see and feel how matter and spirit are in fact the same thing.

Plato wasn't exactly the shining example of logical brilliance either... he said that reality was full of contradictions, such as "Socrates is taller than Plato but shorter than Aristophanes, therefore Socrates is both tall and short," so therefore the world we know could not be real.

Where is the logic in your sentence.

You quoted Plato, and made your own conclusion from it, where I can find absolutely no logic: All Plato was saying is that in order for something to be tall or short, it has to be compared to something, and "tall" or "short", like almost everything else is just subjective of that whith what you compare it to. In modern philosophy, time acts the same way, its movement, and if absolutely nothing moves, time stops being.

But care to elaborate where "World does not exist" comes into play? It seems to me you took his words out of context, which very illogical act.
