Question About Brithed Cakes
    #1425936 - 04/03/03 01:14 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

So my gecko birthed two PF-Tek cakes in a rubbermaid container 2 weeks ago using perlite as humidity....

Humidity is at 95%+....

Nothing has happened to his cakes yet except for little white fuzzies appearing on the cakes... Is this mycelium?

Also, is 2 weeks average for awaiting pins?

Temperature of the room is at 77 roughly... Fans 3 times a day

Thanks for any help =)

Sounds like it's getting ready to fruit.

Everything sounds good.

Two weeks is not unusual. Be patient...

Awesome, thanks guys...

I read about the two weeks thing, so it wasn't really patience I was lacking, but noticing the fuzzy growth on top of the already set mycelium had me slightly concerned... And didn't want to wait another 3 weeks if there was something I could do...

Will keep taking care of these babies

Sincerely
Leopard Gecko
