I love this website. I think this community is beautiful and so helpful. I am grateful for every single member and feature of it.
I have a question which is how do I disable ratings for me? I don't really want it, is there any way I can disable that feature? I see others doing it and I couldn't find the yes/no slot in my "edit profile".
Thanks in advance!

Not trying to be disrespectful here, I'm just high on opiates and a tiny bit of Xanax and have wondered this for awhile:
Why opt out? What's the point? IMO, it just makes it look like you have something to hide. Sure, general ratings don't really matter ALL that much, but opting out of them just doesn't suggest anything positive about the opt-outer. It makes it seem like you have thin skin or something to hide. This is just my perspective and I really don't mean any disrespect to opt-outers. I'm legitimately trying to get reasons for opting out/views on it different than my own so I can understand why people do it.

You have good ratings, why opt out?
Some opt outs end up regretting it later.

oh no worries and i get what you're saying but i'm not all for the judging thing. i didn't really think of it that way though... it might be a sketch if i plan on doing business with people in the future and have only that as a record.. hmmm... good call. i'll think about that one.
thanks for the link Veggie.
also can i not opt back in if i see it's needed later? i assumed it was like a have a signature or not sort of deal.

Far as I know there is no way to "opt back in" currently. Opting out is dumb. If ratings don't matter to you, then don't look at them. Hiding them makes people suspicious of you. You don't want to be that guy.

Opting out is strictly permanent, and exceptions are never given. If you opt out, you opt out.

FYI, if you opt out you are only opting out of general ratings, not trade ratings and those are the only ones that really count.
