Since A.H.P. Members almost never visit the board...
    #1396417 - 03/21/03 04:43 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

So I have too inform you here that everyone has to generate his own part of the compilation cd. (This means we will not blend the songs after all.)

This is so because, vitaminic.com only supports an upload of 16 MB per track and if you create an album it will have standard 2 second breaks between the tracks (this would ofcourse fuck up the mix).

If anyone has ideas about how too solve this problem, please tell me. Otherwise we will just generate our own parts of the cd. I also found out they only give out 60 minutes cd's... Aint that fucked up?

Something else we could do since everyone is buzy already (I hope), is just make it available for download somewhere. And make the next compilation in parts with a 60 minute limit...

Question? ASK!

No response about the part by part creating? Instead of one big mix...

Big Mix/Part by part
Big Mix (means we will share it for free)
Part by part (everyone makes his own mix, and we create a cd from it)

(Soundmind, don't think i'm stealing your idea now. I have no other choice then this.)

i responded... musicbuilder.com.
it takes aout a week for them to clarify mp3s, but once they have, there's no limit to size, only bitrate (has to be 112 - 256 kbsek)

All these A.H.P. posts is really annoying. Howzabout consolidating them into one post?

What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

Then don't open them.

But seriously, I think you should consider building an email list so you can effectively communicate to the artists when something like this happens. Since you said "they rarely check the board" or whatever.

Maybe making it in parts and making a CD would be a better idea, as taking different types of music from different people and making it into one song would make putting the songs together as one quite hard, and all the parts would sound completely different.
