Damn knocking on someones door out of the blue and asking for a 10-50 thousand dollar sale sounds rough. Good luck with that man.
Edit: Maybe go back to the car lot part time then add in some side hustles to make ends meet while also gaining more free time?

Here's what I would do: Since you are planning on leaving the contract job to get a real estate license soon anyway, try to get back with your other job.
I know you don't like it there, but it is only two more months, and then you can leave. If you do that, at least you will have some guaranteed cash. With the current endeavor you might just get into more debt. It's not worth it if you are just going to quit in two months.
Or you could stick with it and you might get lucky and make some cash. I'm more inclined to go with the sure deal.

I'd look at that as not only am I not making any money I'm going into debt with this guy. I'd bail that job.

Your boss seems pretty chilled.
Stick with it for another week, if that doesn't work try get your old job back, Its only 2 months there plus you know you will be getting some cash

I'm just here to say that a job with no pay other than commission does not sound like a dream job at all.
Go back to the car lot IMO. $300?

You can try and stick with to break through.
To be honest though, next time someone says they'll give you a 120k/year job with on the job training, and you don't work weekends and will have an easy time...there's probably a catch. If a job sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Sweet deal. Good thing you stuck with it. Hopefully there will be more sales to follow soon.

That's not bad as long as you can sell 20+ a day.
