Found this guy growing on a locust tree, towards the base. There were others around but they were way out of reach. The others were growing either as a single or as a pair. They did have gills, but no spore print was available. Any help would be great, sorry for the lack of info.

If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. They were cream/white color. I nibbled on a different one and spit it out, they're super tough to break away and was really bitter.
Thanks I took it with my iPhone and was really shocked at how it turned out.

I'd guess Pholiota. Neat specimen!

Sweet! Thank you! I'm gonna get a camera for this fall so I can take some decent pictures. There's lots of neat spots along the river with mossy locust trees. Found a 3# lion's mane last year, gonna go again and find some this fall, those suckers are scrumptious!
