Small Cubensis?
    #14252664 - 04/07/11 11:35 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I just succeeded my first grow on BRF cakes using a SGFC like RR builds in his vid but i used a 20qt sized Sterilite container so its smaller than the one in the vid. A few of my mushrooms were good decent size, but a lot of them grew really really small. And i mean  small

The strain was B+ and i fanned the terrarium a lot of times a day. And misted like 2-3 times a day too. But a lot of them grew really small. I had a giant 6500K flourescent tube sitting by the side of them for awhile as lighting. I had a shitty digital hygrometer that never reads above 90% even in a shower's room environment. It said like 87-93% in the FC

Maybe it's your first grow. Maybe people post pics of the big ones- why do we call it porn, anyway?

They're terrific. Print, clone, eat.

it happens with ms, man. it also happens with many other
issues, such as too wet/dry sub and contamination.
also, i have never grown b+ but from what i hear
it's among the most variable of strains, producing giants,
midgets, very potent fruits and entire bunk flushes.
for me, tiny shrooms were always the result of soaked
cakes/sub.
but look into cloning.

yeaa 1/4 pints don't yield very large fruits. you might see one or two big guys in the next flush or so.

No they're half pint its just i didnt fill one of them up too good...specifically the cake in the pics. And yes i am going to clone my best fruits on my next grow but i need a few more dollars before i can go purchase a pressure cooker.

That mushroom already teared its veil...sorry for the blurry cell pic.

I think they're kinda cute.
Clone those, they could be useful for compact grows.

Look nice and potent.  Eat up.

They might be a bit small, but it sure looks like you have plenty.

Of course, then there's the problem of eating vermiculite. On the bright side, it makes your poop and teeth glitter.  Just pretend it's christmas.

I can't clone since i dont have a pressure cooker. And yes the cakes in the pics were skinny 1/2pints which i didnt fill up too good so they're small.

But the short fat 1/2 pint cakes produced the same size shrooms too so its not the cake size. The smaller cakes actually produced my 2 biggest shrooms on the 1st flush. One being my avatar

Yea its just the product of cakes number 1 and number 2 its probably due to multispore.  In all honesty though you shrooms don't look that small for cakes.

Well the first flush dry was 11 grams...here it is

And the 2nd flush dry was 7 grams...here it is

And the 3rd flush took forever to fruit which i just recently harvested and it is drying. The very top pic in the first post is all it was really. Along with a few other small tiny ones on the other cakes which were as big as that quarter sized pic
