LC First-Timer, Procedure Rough-Draft

hey everyone, I've been reading here for a long time, I've grown plenty of cakes, and cased a few quarts of rye spawn. I'm going to move up to LC + bags, but I'll probably need plenty of pointers and insight/foresight from the experts. here is my vision:
1. Prepare Broth. a. find a broth recipe from a TC & brew it b. half-fill narrow-mouth quarts c. tyvek lids w/ RTV injection ports (or should I skip RTV & just tape over the hole?) d. PC
2. Inoculate LC a. in a still air box of course
3. Incubate LC b. 83 deg F?
4. Blend LC a. PC blender blade & seal b. combine 2 (half-full) jars at a time (is this a good way to hybridize strains?) c. affix blender blade & seal in place of narrow-mouth jar lid d. blend it
5. Draw-Off Inoculation of Grain Bags a. order & receive many 1Lb rye bags from a sponsor b. pump LC into grain bags with the Allflex 20VM Draw-Off Syringe c. what gauge needle should I use for the blended LC? how many mLs LC/Lb rye?
6. Incubate the bags or not?
7. Time this whole operation to make outdoor beds w/ pasteurized coir in July and August
can't wait to hear back from this community, please correct my language if you think it is improper

Look up in the bottom of my post, you'll see "Agars Grain LC Tek", click on that, it'll save ya alot of trouble, as well you'll know your culture is clean, instead of using spores to nocc up a LC jar..
incubation is not needed, as long as its not super cold, like under 65...but dont go over 80

I am doing a Lc with warm weather buttons. I siliconed the hole in the top for my needle. When I boiled the honey water it became air tight. So when i stuck my spore syringe in through the silicone it sucked all 12 cc out of my syringe. I was not happy about that.... I still have it air tight and it has been 2 weeks and the mycelium is growing very slow but I don't think I have to worry about it being contaminatted.

LC is all about having nice lids with good injection ports and filters and personally I really like the rubber lid gaskets that fit under the plastic lids.
The better your lids the more success u will have.

Well with out having any air or gas exchange it will prevent caontams. Is that correct? Also it will just take a long time to grow the mycelium?

It shouldnt be air tight like that with the right lid.

Thats what my LC's will be in.

What is wrong with having it air tight. Doesn't it just slow down growth speed?

See i have time because i have B+ in the fruit chamber now. It would just make sense to me that less gas exchange means less chance of contams. Good gas exchange fast myc growth. If you think about it. When you Knock up a brf you cover it in foil so it really doesn't get gas exchange.

Correction. The foil only stays on while you pressure cook. Once they leave the PC, the foil comes off. Cakes should have the dry verm layer to keep them safe.

Well FMR I have been leaving the foil on. I will now have to remember to take it off after i sterilize the brf.

i think GE is important if you have a lot of broth to culture. breathable tyvek will keep out the contams.
what temp to incubate cubensis LC? is my blending procedure legit? can a blended LC (like yeast/dextrose/agar) pass through an 18ga needle? how many mLs LC/Lb rye grain?
please stay on topic people, this isn't a thread about cakes or gas exchange

I think the blending idea sounds awful. Opening your jar to pour them into the blender is going to allow contams in.
I have never heard of anyone doing such. And why would you want to try to cross strains? These are mushrooms, not marijuana. It's a FUNGUS, not a plant.
Stick with what works. You'll be much happier.

What if you experiment and find what works best for you. I do it all the time.

I'd skip the whole blender idea and just pop a couple of marbles in the LC jars plus i should think the only way to try and hybridise would be using agar
