Today I just fisnished The Shootist w/ John Wayne. They're all good so far, anyone have suggestions? I'd suggest what I named for ppl.

I like the one where the old guy takes a 1847 shiloh sharps and shoots the mexican in the stomach from hella yards away.
His barrel was at a 37 1/2 degree angle give or take and the mexican was clucking like a chicken.

Does the ¡Three Amigos!" count
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid The Magnificent Seven The Wild Bunch
the only ones I seem to remember being good that have not been listed. Was never a big western fan but a good movie is a good movie.
IMDB has a top 50 list. http://www.imdb.com/chart/western

Lonesome Dove is another great one. This ain't the typical action packed gunslinging type though. It goes much deeper into character development and dialogue. It's definitely not for everyone. The acting by Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones is top notch! Btw the runtime is 6 hours.

oh and The Good, The Bad, and The Weird is pretty fun too.. its a south korean film which is a derivative of spaghetti westerns (which are derivatives of american westerns themselves).
its an interesting film to say the least.. and some of the best movies in recent memory have been coming out of south korea. this is just one more to add to the list.

I just finished "Once Upon a Time in the West"... one of the most unnecessarily dragged out films I have ever seen. 2 hours 45 minutes and it could have easily been 2hours and 10 without screwing anything up. The movie had its parts but I'd give it 7.5 our of 10. Downloading "Fore a Few Dollars More"
I'm going to watch every suggested film in here, thanks everyone

No question, all of Leone's movies are favorites and I'd consider that my favorite favorite.
While on the subject of Clint Eastwood the Badass - The Unforgiven is an amazingly good movie and a great western, directed by the man Himself.
I liked The Assassination of Jesse James.
3:10 to Yuma
True Grit the remake and old one.
No Country for Old Men if you count that.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a freakin' classic.
I like Tombstone (AKA - the Movie of Mustaches) but probably only because of Doc Holiday and the amazing mustaches on display throughout. That's all I can think of right now. Westerns are cool.
