Cheese before my aya trip

Okay, so I ate one slice of swiss cheese today, and I'm worried about drinking my aya brew now.
I plan on taking the aya 2 nights from now, and I ate the cheese early today. I wouldn't imagine I have anything to worry about, but I've heard most people like to go a whole week following the MAOI diet.
So I guess my question is, Should I be worried about the amount of tyramine in my system from one slice of cheese 2 days before taking an MAOI?

Don't do it dammit you must do a proper plant diet to get the most out of the experience in my opinion.

Should be long digested and gone by two days.

But i do whole heartly believe in eating right before trips. But one piece, two days before.
Doesn't sound like a problem.

Yea, and I've been doing my best to keep up with a good diet for the past few days.
I imagined I didn't have anything to worry about, just wanted to get some feedback from the experienced.

Yeah, you'll be alright man.
Follow your diet from here out, and look at the mistake as a learning tool.
I'd throw in some extra fiber, and or fast on water for one of the days.
Not that it will matter all that much, but it's partly mental anyway.

You'll be fine. There's no physical need for a strict diet beforehand because the MAOI's in ayahuasca are reversible inhibitors of MAO-A (RIMA's) but some people do follow the dieta for spiritual and cleansing purposes.

Great answer. Thanks a lot! I'm trying to use this trip as a spiritual journey more than just to get high, which is usually what my trips are. I like to think of it as a maturing of my drug use.

There's more to it than just spiritual reasons. It may not be dangerous, but trust me too much cheese will have a negative impact on the trip. The extra alkaloids seem to be competitive for DMT making it weaker. A long intense headache may be experienced as well.
I hear people use this reversible MAOI excuse, but reversible or not the enzyme is blocked and the increased monoamines destroy the experience.

I can only speak from my experience eating various harmalas and oral freebase DMT every Saturday for two years. Diet doesn't matter.

Its true that the dangers are overemphasized on dietary restrictions. I heard of a guy testing out the harmala MAOI interactions by eating a double bacon cheeseburger after a pharmahuasca experience. Didn't bother him at all. As some others mentioned, you might want to reconsider and hold to a stricter diet for spiritual reasons in keeping yourself pure so the plant can do It's healing work without obstruction. Physical interactions from reversible natural plant harmalines and food are likely to be rare. It is pharmaceutical, non reversible MAOIs that can have dangerous interactions with the wrong foods.

You think i'm not speaking from experience also? It does matter for some people. And there is not enough placebo in the world to cause the headaches that i've gotten from breaking the diet.
