brf cakes and sea of shrooms

are brown rice flour cakes okay to use in casings described in the sea of shrooms tek? I'm assuming, but since it doesn't say i thought it couldn't hurt to ask.
see my thumb was thinking about using a black plastic pie tray instead of the cups. with the vermiculite layers and everything...

damn i gotta start writing down some notes.

mycileum growth temperature; mid 70's to low 80's
for cold shocking, would putting a bag of ice in the terrarium work?
pin temperature; low to mid 80's
humidty should always be kept around 90-95%
(but it's not necessary for mycileum growth)

i understand that there's not a large difference in 74 to oh say, 80 degrees or vice versa so these are all rough estimates, based on what i read, for my thumb of course. unless i mixed some things up.

also, does the jiffy mix have the necessary pH?

show me some loving, even though i'm a newbie

(please no liiiiinks, i've read day after day after day... just wasn't smart enough to write anything down)

by the way a thumb is slang for your uncle's neighbor if he's in a coma

cold shock--throw them in the fridge sumerged in water. If its a matter of trying to get the casing to pin..just put them outside in the cold for a few hours(assuming its cold outside.)
