Any reason to not wait a couple extra days before picking? Does it hurt future flushes?

What about penis strains? Do they just get bigger?

From what I know posted on the forums, the larger the mushrooms get past a certain point results in less potency by weight as the mushrooms keep growing but the amount of active alkaloids stays constant.
Also, if the cap twists up and launches its spores you'll have a pretty mess to clean up!

what he said, and you do expend extra energy from your sub or cake letting them go after veil breakage just pick'em when the viel has stretched a the mushie resembles a lolli pop. they are more appealing like that too imo.

I wait for my caps to flatten out for printing (As close to the point before they drop spore all over each other)and pick and print each as it is ready there is no reason to pick them all at once
The end result ends in nice caps, nice dark prints.
I personally do not see a point in waiting for them all to mature while some are ready and dropping spores, but thats just

It's all water weight at that point. Once they get big enough to break their veils, they are done growing. Expansion beyond that occurs due to turgidity, the mushrooms pumps water into existing cellular structures.
...so you're using extra water for no benefit and making a mess. Other than that, no particular downside to waiting.
Oh, and the mushrooms start to die after they drop their spores. That's something after a few days.
