Hey guys. Im still waiting on my first print from FRSE. Should be here today I hope, been waiting 3.5 weeks now. In the mean time I have not been able to stop thinking about my procedure so I was wondering if you guys think this will work. I plan on: 1- Sterilizing 2 plastic half pint jars and filling one with sterile water 2- With a sterile pair of scissors and tweezers, cut a piece of the print off while it is still in the bag and quickly as possible place it into the empty half pint jar and lid. 3- Clean the top of the jar with the water in it with alcohol, and pierce through the plastic lid with a sterile syringe, draw the water, remove, alcohol wipe needle and flame, then pierce the container with the print in it, empty the syringe into the container and draw it back up. Will this produce usable syringes? I'm pretty sure I have everything else under control.

And dont forget to send some of your prints back to the FSRE. They're good folks over there, and are supported by donations from the community.

Thanks wildernessjunkie. I will definitely send some prints back. Nice vid too, the only thing is, I have no glove box or flowhood so I'm trying to figure out the safest way to do an open air procedure. Thanks again

Get a glove box. You can make one under 20 dollars. You will thank me later.

You should get a glove box but if you know what your doin you can pull it off without. But a glovebox is cheap, 7 bucks or some shit. You should get one.
And instead of steralizing water in a jar and sucking it up with a syringe, why not just sterilize the syringe with water already in it cutting out the extra step. More steps more risk. Pc 60 mins 15 psi. Put your syringe needle side facing up in a quart jar so it doesn't squirt the water out, wrap syringe in foil.
I wrap my jar to, I like to take it right next to the fruiting chamber before I pick what I wanna cut and transfer quick. I use metal medical scissors so I can steralize them and a needle in the pc before cutting the cap. I made a nipple inwards out of silicone so I can get the needle to touch the bottom of the jar. Also steralize tweezers to remove the cap from the jar quickly after printing. All tweezers, scissors and needle I wrap in the same sheet of foil in three sections. I steralize everything all at once 60 mins 15 psi. Ez peezy.
To make the nipple of the jar I use the cap for the needle. I drill a quarter inch hole then I use the cap for the needle as a mold to shape the silicone nipple around it. You can see I use micropore tape on the bottom of the lid so it doesn't seal shut when Pc'ing . I dont flip the lid upside down cause then it likes to slide around. I use the jars that are shorter then half pints.
Use gloves hand sanitizer and your regular sterile inoculation procedure and you should be golden

That was for a syringe, To do prints I just steralize foil inside the quart jar and do the print inside the upside down quart jar.
