do you realize how hard it is to identify dried mushrooms accurately? those are Psilocybe cubensis. please try to do a little bit of research yourself next time.

strain does not matter. they are all cubensis and they will all treat you the same. and identifying a strain is almost impossible. IMO just calle them all cubes and let it go

No, not at all, sorry. PE has a very distinct trait of growing in a way that looks as if it has some sort of tumor on the stipe right below the cap when it matures. And the stipe diameter when directly compared to cap diameter is WAY larger than in any other cube even before they are mature. The stipes are fat as fuck. It's the one cube I could tell apart from any other cube dried or fresh even if I was blindfolded.

Alright thanks for the help guys I was just wondering if anyone knew what strain because they seemed very potent to my friend. For your first time tripping starting with a low dose is a great idea...

I think all cubensis strains are pretty much as potent as each other, aren't they?

Assuming this was aimed at me.
My post was typed in jest in regards to the thread title "3.5g Dried needs identifying please" eh I suppose humor doesn't always translate well in text.

Do not try to weigh the tray, that's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth... there is no tray.

PE are more potent than other cubes. But it's all relative. A PE cultivation cycle can take up to 50% longer than that of another "standard" cube. The mycelium propagates slower, it fruits slower and the fruits take longer to mature. The result is a much denser fruit that is more potent. I would say that PE aren't better as such. It's more a question of whatever floats your boat. You want to wait a month longer before you finish your last flush to get mushrooms that are a bit more potent? Go with PE. You like fruits that are very dense, heavy and look like a penis? Go with PE. Don't want to wait that extra month? Go with any cube and be just as high and happy. A longer cultivation cycle also increases the risk of a contamination break out, which is something to take into consideration, too.

Lmfao. I will say that shroomery isn't the easiest place to post things, though. Took me a good half hour of fucking around to work out how to post pictures. Being stoned off my tits probably did not help the process, though
