casing teks, what do you suggest?

a dude i know is trying to figure out how he's going to case, he tried straight verm , but isnt sure that's for him, what would you suggest he try, a step up from the verm. i wont be able to use manure yet, maybe this 50-50 mix? what do you guys think?

I know in my area it is uneasy to find coco coir, and expensive to order online. If you can not find it use peat moss.

jiffy mix, if you are a beginner . 60/40 Verm/Coco Coir casing, Anno's coir, peat, verm, oyster tek, or stuff some egg cartons in the blender .

straight peat is okay for casing?

I have some peat-based potting soil, the pH is right for growing reefer, so does that mean it can do shrooms too? It has a bit of perlite mixed in. Oh wait, it has fungicide. Never mind. But regular peat?

50/50 peat/vermiculite

ive never heard of using straight peat, but straight verm. will work.

regular peat with a proper ph(7.5-8) and mosture balance should work well
