Buy a french press, it'll be less than $20 and will make way better coffee than your 1 cupper.

That is the plan. I was in the grocery store and saw the little 1 cup for $5 so I went for it. I'm going to order a decent french press when I get some more spare cash.

For sure. I'd recommend Ethiopian Yirgacheffe too. My favorite style of coffee. A lot of berry flavors in there. Dark berries, red berries, all kinds.

Buy a moka pot, it makes espresso, which is way better than regular coffee, drip or french press. A good one is only like 25-30 dollars too. A good shot of moka pot espresso is as good to me as a shot of pump machine espresso.

Back when I had HPPD, coffee intensified it for me too. Was pretty gnar-bar.
I'm a total caffeine fiend, though. Today I've had four shots of espresso and a rockstar. WHEE!

yeah man, caffeine is a psychoactive stimulant hence, your mind responds to the stimuli. it's pretty crazy how drugs effect each human differently.
i can't drink caffeine after 12 noon. it will effect my sleep that night. no joke.
i drank three and a half cups this morning, jumped in the car and headed to work. on the way there i turned on some Shpongle and started tripping out while noticing how perspective changes so quickly and dramatically when driving down the road at 55 mph.
the caffeine heightened the effects of perspective shift and it was an interesting ride into work

We deny madness, we forget our crimes, we dismember the corpse, we imprison our children. We need poison to poison the poison, to remember the sacred nature of intoxication, the green body of the young god." ~ Dale Pendell

Yeah. Since I was 13. When I was 18 I started with espresso's and I take a couple every day. It's my "start button" in the morning man. Day gets brighter right away !
In the end, it's a stupid addictive everyday drug like nicotine. Quit if you can. It leads do high blood pressure among other diseases if taken regularly.
I would quit if I could really. I've already decreased consumption but it's like nicotine. I need the stuff after a while again ...

Is that true about blood pressure? God damn it, I swear everything can raise your blood pressure.
I would cry if I had to give up my morning double-espresso habit. There is literally nothing else that can make me capable of facing the day at 7 AM.

About blood pressure. After reaching 30's almost everything you like will help you increase it.

I'm lucky enough to work at an organic/fair trade rostery, so this means I get at least a 1/2lb of beans a week on top of all the free espresso I want ever for the rest of my life.. putting up with the smell of roasting the beans from green is totally worth it.

Coffee is the one addiction I try to get. Seriously. I have an on and off relationship with coffee because I have some anxiety issues, but I am a total fiend for the stuff, the moment I feel it doesn't make me anxious anymore I "abuse" it to hell, At the height of my habbit I used to drink half a liter in the course of the morning, have an espresso afterwards, drink a energy drink after lunch and if I was feeling up to it have a cup in the evening, I was in a bit of a manic episode though and it actually calmed me down...had the deepest sleep after a redbull...
I love to drink it and every time I run out I try to buy a different brand, to taste the subtle differences.
Also something I found about caffeine and blood pressure:
Quote:
One interesting study showed that the caffeine-blood pressure relationship may be more complicated than expected. The study examined how the amount of coffee consumed affected the risk of developing high blood pressure. While the results showed that the risk of high blood pressure was the lowest for those who drink no coffee, it also showed that those who drink a lot of coffee have almost the same risk. In an unexpected twist, people who drank only small amounts of coffee (1-3 cups per day) seemed to have the highest risk. It is believed that over time, the body becomes tolerant to the stimulant effects of caffeine.
Here's the whole article, some interesting stuff actually...

Dont drink it....just makes me fucking miserable. First cup in the right setting can get me manic as fuck, just loving life. However after i drink it habitually it just makes me energized, and anxious as worry inside my head 24/6. OCD and caffeine dont mix. Blows because back when i was drinking yerba mate in massive quantities i was the thinnest/buffest ive ever been

It makes me manic and start talking alot. It basically effects me in the same way that LSD effects me right down to the stomach pains, body buzz, rainbowing, hyperactiveness, etc. The only difference is that I crash a little faster.
