Cold Shocking

When I dunked my BRF cakes, I put them in an insulated cup, put some paper towels on top, then put ice cubes on top of that for 24 hours. I couldn't dunk in the fridge, and was trying to keep them a) from rotting/bacteria and b) submerged in the water. It was distilled water with distilled water ice cubes.
Is there any chance I damaged them permanently? I've had them out 2 weeks with very little growth of any kind. Just a very recent slight fuzzing around the verm casing layer. I've got all sorts of other noob things I'm probably doing wrong, but I wondered about this in particular.

This one was birthed almost two weeks ago.

and this one five days ago

I don't see too much difference. They don't stink. They smell like mushrooms. And there's a little activity. Just not much. And I know I used the wrong size jars. The widemouth 1/2 pint just aren't available in any stores, and I didn't want to buy them online.

Fresh air and evaporation are 2 big pinning triggers. How to facilitate those triggers is to open your chamber and lightly mist the cakes, then fan for a couple minutes with the lid.

Believe me, I've been misting and fanning these guys pretty good. 3-6 times a day. Plus there are holes in the top of the FC and a pump/air stone in a glass of water in center. I'm sure they're getting plenty of FAE. Humidity is at 99%. If they're not broken, I guess I'll try to continue to be patient. :/

What are your temps like? Things would move along faster if you had 75-80F temps. 75 degrees is optimum for cube growth speed.

Temp is a pretty steady 72º-74º. I might actually be able to bump it up a little. I'll try that.

Second that. Doc demands fanning and porn!
Optimum fruiting temps are more like 70-75, as low as 65 is acceptable even. Shoot for low 70s, which is what you have already. Good for you.
