Oh yeah I believe in death, I can see it. I don't know if I trust it or not, but I agree that it doesn't lie. It's life that is full of liars.

Strange. I am actually in the process of writing something which I will post on here in a few hours regarding this subject.

Excellent post... :satansmoking:

The idea of death has the power to excite and the power to humble. I don't trust the exciting aspect of it.

If you're alive you have to believe in death.

If you can't die, you're dead.

Dying used to scare the shit out of me.  I don't know if it's normal, but I remember being like 4 and laying in bed telling my parents I didn't want to die.

Then I realized how awesome this life is (despite a lot of the bullshit people deal with).  In general, life is god damn amazing.  Whatever our life is, wherever it comes from, whatever consciousness really means or implies, life is amazing.  And death is just another part of life.  Life = Death and vice versa.  Life = Amazing.  Therefore, Death = Amazing.

The transitive property proves that death will be amazing.  May sound strange but I really believe it.  And not because it uses a mathematical property to "prove" it.  I just thought that was the best way to explain.  I plan on having a good time in the afterlife.  :pipesmoke:

There are more people imprisoned for the commission of drug offenses in the United States - close to 500,000 - than are incarcerated in England, France, Germany, and Japan for all crimes combined.  Examined in another way, the United States has 100,000 more people incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses than all the countries of the European Union combined, despite the fact that the European Union has 100 million more citizens. :crankey:

As a person who lives with his vision almost completely botched by LASIK surgery, I can add that the beauty in death I see is that nothing lasts forever.  Death is the final release when our fragile, mortal bodies no longer have the capacity to experience true joy anymore.  The will to live becomes lost with age, and perhaps that frequency ripples into the body causing illness, as some argue, eventually leading to our death... but only to be reborn, I believe, into a new body, fresh and vibrant, capable of experiencing the beautiful highs that this life has to offer.

I find it interesting that the French call orgasm, "Le Petite Mort," or The Little Death.  Makes me think.

Either way, being knowledgeable and accepting of my death makes me more free I believe.  I'm not afraid to live anymore.  And I make the best of what I have left.

very well put and id have a very similar answer.

i guess i see the relative/subjective aspects of most questions such as this one to where i am really left without an answer.

questions such as "who or what lives and dies" spring up.

was "I" ever really nonexistent at some point in time? Who am i? Obviously im not this collection of ideas that ive merely adopted from the next man over in society.
So how can i answer relative questions that are only relevant when specific opinions are assumed to be true?

this is a very good question tho that gets one to inquire into WHO they are and what things are to begin with

I'm never going to die. I'm ascending to the 5th... I mean 8th dimension and will post on the Shroomery for eternity... and always look like a cut 25 year old too... and be able to eat as much brownie batter as I want from my spaceship.

it doesn't matter.

death will take care of itself when it comes.

we can only think we know. we cannot know.

what happens after death is something that is ABSOLUTE.

Weather it be existence beyond the body, or annihilation.

Whatever it is, it is SET. In Stone.

So, we may THINK we know.

BE CERTAIN life exists beyond the death of the body

BE CERTAIN thats it man, that's the end of the road thanks for playing better luck next ti.... erm

but actually, our stupid ass fucking ideas (think kids and lego blocks) have nothing to do with reality. It says nothing about it, and affects it NOT. Therefore it's all story-telling the end
