h2o2 question

Ok so I purchased Hydrogen Peroxide today, and when I got home I looked at the bottled and it says "Solution of Hydrogen Peroxide 3% H2O2 U.S.P" do I make a 10% to 90% water mixture with this stuff or is this already mixed with water?

Thats a 3% solution. Its mixed with water. Thats the standard. Everyone on here seems to reccomend using a 10% solution but I know 3% does the trick.

3% will work but it's better if you get 10%....
yes make the sol. with water....

if you add water to a 3% solution it will lower the percentage.

Adding water will render it useless.

Use what came in the bottle, its exactly what you want.

If you add water you will be diluting it.

I wouldn?t use 3% peroxide for ANYTHING.

0.3% is ok....

I don?t use it though unless there is a reason for. And there hardly ever is.

If a universal use water is the desired product, than use the 10 parts water to 1 part h2o2 3% solution. If you want something to sterilize with the h2o2 is not the best choice I believe. Use an alcohol or bleach derivative.
