Bro you would be surprised. I know this one guy, I'm actually great friends with him, and he is a certified "tea-head" the shit he claims tea does... it blows my mind. I don't see how a logical human can come up with some of this shit. "OH YEAH DRINK THIS TEA YOU WILL BECOME IMMUNE TO ALL CANCERS, SPROUT IMMENSE CHEST HAIR, AND YOUR PENIS WILL GROW BY THE FOOT!" Yeah ok.

No, you claimed that antioxidants neutralizing free radicals was a stupid myth. Then you posted a link that only stated how effective antioxidants were at neutralizing free radicals.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on tea in anyway, I stated I drink tea in my posts. I'm all for it and I'm down to try any variety...
BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID...
I AM hating on tea-heads who claim tea will grant the drinker all these divine properties of preventing illness and shit. Or people claiming drinking some real good free leaf tea that was organically grown in some bullshit town in Japan will grant you immunity to disease and get you high whilst doing it. THAT is some bullshit.
OK... maybe there is some shit in tea that MIGHT ASSIST in fighting off some diseases / illnesses, but some of these people preach on like tea is a cure-all when its fucking not. Remember the asiago berry thing a few years ago? When everyone was obsessed with that fucking berry and how it cures diseases and whatnot... well I remember reading an article THAT OUTLINED EVERYTHING and basically said YES. THIS BERRY HELPS PREVENT DISEASE BUT IN A VERY VERY VERY VERY BARLEY WORTH MENTIONING AMOUNT. It went on about how all these company's were basically making bank off of this fad when it wasn't really that big of a deal. I view tea in the same light. Yes it taste good, yeah it's great as a coffee substitute, but NO I do not think it will help me in really anyway mentally and NO I don't think it will make me immune to cancer.

i think its a twin effect, i think it is good for you and can "help" prevent things, but also while your drinking tea, your not drinking shit thats bad for you like soda that prolly causes cancers, so yah tea is great for u. I myself do think clearer while on tea, and my body feels better to, and its also cleared up a UTI. I like to drink earl grey as well, and that makes me feel like captain picard, these tea's are amazing

The myth I was referring to was the OP's on WW2 and green tea. Guess you read it wrong or i worded it wrong. No worries.

Watch the episode and you will think its bullshit. They even went into how it takes TWO FUCKING WEEKS to become a licensed aromatherapist LOL. Watch it and have you're beliefs shattered.
And I was mostly saying that tea does what it says it will. Green tea (if caffeinated) will stimulate me JUST AS MUCH as a cup of coffee would. Its basically 1 cup GT = 1 cup coffee. I feel no different. And for the anti-toxins / anti-oxidant / anti-illness preventing properties... I still get sick if I drink tea. Always have, and probably always will since tea IS just a drink and all. ITS NOT OTHERWORLDLY OR DIVINE ITS A FUCKING DRINK.
I'll take the word of peer reviewed scientific studies over a couple magicians, thanks. Who cares how long it takes to become an aromatherapist? It's not surgery or anything. Smells can affect the mind, and it doesn't take years of schooling to look up which scents do what. I'm surprised it takes any time at all. That doesn't invalidate it the premise though. It's the product of an extremely weak argument designed to fill air time, and make money.
And if green tea stimulates you just as much as a cup of coffee, while at the same time containing 1/4 the caffeine, well, there's something else at play there. L-theanine?
The antioxidant properties of tea were never purported to be magical. You'll get the same effect from eating an apple. It's not an otherworldly or divine drink, and if people are claiming that it is, you're spending too much time around psychos.

You should probably settle down a little bit. When I clicked on the third page everything on the site was reversed, it threw me off.
I get high when I drink tea, because caffeine gets me high. I love tea. I took a year and a half break from caffeine but I started drinking a little tea again 4 days ago.

Thats fine. I still LOL at aromatherapy. LOL!! Sorry, thinking about it, you should watch that episode though. But yeah... if a cup of green tea stimulates me JUST as much as a cup of coffee but it has 1.4 the caffeine... what ever who cares its basically 1 cup = 1 cup. I don't care about the technical shit or the names, I'm saying a basic average human will feel the same after consuming one cup of tea as per one cup of coffee.
YEAH MAYBE THE GREEN TEA HAS 1/4 THE CAFFEINE AND IT HAS THE OTHER SHIT BUT WHO THE FUCK CARES!? You feel the same. The exact same. I mean I do at least. I don't want to speak for anyone else but TO ME green tea is NO FUCKING DIFFERENT than a cup of coffee. It just has a different taste.

I find the green tea to be significantly less stimulating than coffee. Less jitters and speediness, and more calm focus.
And it tastes hundreds of times better imo. Coffee tastes like bitter mud.

I'm not big on sweet tea, they're always too sweet but I can handle hot teas, definitely not my favorite beverage

My dad's something of a connoisseur. We've got like 8 coffee makers that take up all my damn counter space. Still don't like it. Couldn't drink it even if I did though, or I'd get 8 hours of anxiety and shakes.
