Not going to give any locations away as its a breach of the forum rules, i know im looking in the right places just had second thoughts because i couldnt see any pins and shroomeup had found some of his own.
At the end of the day it was a quick scout. Found another location apparently its a goldfield of subaeruginosa out there, been a while since my last hunt but when it comes down to locations im pretty spot on.. Probably a bit early still need a good 3-4 days of rain at least with some below 10's..

Went out for a bit of a scout today with a friend found some of my own spots down at some local forestry in the south western suburbs, seems moist and promising in some places but id say we need to wait for a good 4 days minimum of rain with some nice below 10's.
Its such a shame how some people pay no respect to the habitat of mushrooms in the local forest plantations, Rubbish everywere with no consideration of the habitat... broken mushrooms just picked and thrown or kicked over. If i catch any person doing it ill make sure they will be leaving in the back of a ambulance
im sure if you spent a good few hours out you might be lucky enough to find some pins maybe a few matures in the deepest and densest places

Yes it's active! Soon there should be some larger ones about and hopefully with some help it can be properly ID'd.

Checked my mega bush patch and found... nothing.
Its too dry and too early. Also subs usually kick in right after blackberries stop fruiting... so instead of picking subs, I inudlged in some wild blackberries.
Ill give it another 3 weeks.

If you're talking about active mushrooms, then yes. If you're talking about a psilo-infused mayolicious spread from the supermarket, then no.
Here's a super early Corroboree find from the hills around Melbourne. Link. Won't be too long before subs start invading the suburbs!
